There has been speculation that DCL would expand the concierge sun deck into deck 13.

My assumption is they are just re-furnishing the 4A's on deck 10 to be 'Concierge'; safe guess given you can now book a GTY Family Deluxe OV Verandah Concierge for Deck 10

You can still book non-GTY 4As on deck 10 for cruises in 2025, so if they're converting 4As, then they aren't converting all of them. Not even close.

We’re booked on the Dream for next August with a 13yr old, so I’m curious about the impacts to Edge. From the blog is sounds cool with no mention of how the space will work with Vibe. Am I wrong in thinking there’s no way they can combine/share spaces for that wide age and developmental gap of 10-17yr olds? We wouldn’t put a 5th grader with HS juniors so why do it on a ship?

I bet they split the space- not combined. I hate that they are taking away to make another over priced funnel suite.

Absolutely not. I don’t know exactly what is happening but what from I have heard they will each have their own designated indoor space and then have certain times to use the outdoor space

Also a ball pit? Please tell me they are not getting rid of the Vibe pool for a ball pit? And I already feel bad for the youth counselors who need to clean up there after the teens come in and mess it up because they will 100% be goofy and toss the balls all over or "accidentally" spill them... That idea is really dumb and doesn't even really appeal to the 11-17 year olds it is supposed to be for. Instead it is going to have a bunch of littles there every open house... And I am already predicting more illness onboard, because ball pits are covered in germs. I really, really do not understand what DCL is thinking.

I feel like if they were going to do this it would have been in this announcement. Just like the rumors of enchanted garden updates don't seem likely now.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they provide another update/concept art later on. Possibly as even a quick mention during D23.

Ball pit in an open, outdoor area will also get pooped on by seagulls, etc. So not a good idea. My DD is not happy!

The Edge will do take overs of other youth spaces so I see how they could have a common space shared space. (At separate times.)

This is very strange. There is nothing for that age group on LP and now DCL wants to give them a ballpit. Looks like this age group is just an afterthought

And this is an age group that NEEDS structured activities and a space. I also teach middle school so I can attest to this first hand. On our last cruise Edge didn’t provide much so the tween group was left to their own devices, it led to numerous issues and altercations on the unsupervised sports deck that wound up involving security. Not saying this is all disneys fault but as leaders in the kids cruise arena I would expect them to consult with child experts and determine what is best for each age group.
With all this, we were on the Magic with a small Edge space so my son is unphased by any changes for the Dream. It may feel like an upgrade to him.
I agree it’s likely a Gaga ball pit just worded poorly.

Considering you can still book the rooms right next to Edge on Deck 5 on sailings post drydock I don't see that happening.
