Dream Dinners type places?

I organized a "Girlfriend Dinner Swap" where we all made freezer meals for each other. We all made a list of 3 meals we made well and listed the major ingredients. Then, each person emailed me and let me know which ones they wanted of the other ladies ...this way no hard feelings with anyone...I matched them all up and let everyone know how many of each they had to make. They all brought them to my house the same day and I exchanged them for them. It was fairly simple really. We had 5 ladies, it was very manageable for a first run.

LOVE this idea!

In your situation with a new baby coming I would say yes!!! I have done supper Super before and just like everyone else the food was really just ok but for the fact that it hit the bill when I had a newborn and certainly could not cook it was great.

I looked at the menu and I just repeated the dishes that my family would more than likely eat so for instant I may have made 2 lasagna serving as a substitute.

My hubby did have to add flavoring to the food but the fact that we had 12 meals that were better than frozen dinners was very convienent and very worth it.

I also had fun assembling them at the place.

The portion were very huge. We often times had leftovers for lunch the next day. My kids are still small and not big eaters though

We really enjoyed it back when we were both working. While I cannot justify the expense when I'm a SAHM, right before a new baby seems like the perfect time to splurge. Our local place had an option for smaller families as well as their target audience was DINKs.
