Hi All- my husband wants to sail on the Dream, but I'm worried a 3 or 4-night cruise will feel rushed and incomplete, as we've only done 7-nights previsoulsy (Wonder 2011, Fantasy 2016).

For those of you who did 7 nights first, then went on to 3 or 4 later: were the shorter cruises worth it? I would hate to feel disappointed or let down. I guess we could do a back to back... that might guarantee us a CC day, which we didn't get on either of the previous cruises!

***ack!! Typo in the heading, and I can't figure out how to edit that part.

I'm with you, I wouldn't do a 3 or 4 night cruise. How about a cruise and WDW?

We did a 7 day on the Big Red Boat many years ago and thought it was too long. We have done 4 night and a 3 on the Dream. On the 3 we felt rushed and it was far more crowded. 4 is good wished it was 5, but we did not feel rushed.

We did a b2b on The Dream in September it was fabulous! It also worked out cheaper than a week on The Fantasy. We were lucky and did conceriege. We had cancelled a Christmas cruise as I was in hospital. Anyway it was just the best. You keep the same servers, you can keep the same cabin. You don't have to move anything. Only off the ship a short while. Back on early whole ship to yourself. Can't recommend it enough. CC double dip! Just as well our first CC there was a storm. Second was perfect.

We had the same issues, had done 3 7- or 8 nts and couldn't find another 7 nt that fit our schedule or budget. So i booked a 4nt and fretted for weeks. Then I watched a DU podcast about the Dream and how many people do B2Bs, so we tacked a 3-nt onto our 4-nt! Win, win! I know it won't be exactly like a 7 nt with the repetitve ports, but we're going to consider the ship the destination since we love it so much. We also somehow are able to get 2 rooms for just a little more than our standard one deluxe family verandah bc of the time we chose. We're really excited! Good luck!

Wow, score on the double room!!

This is our thought also. We do a dream B2B every year.

Thank everyone! I'm thinking a B2B would be the best option. We would fly in from AZ, so have to justify the airfare

He wants to make sure we get on all 4 ships, so who am I to say no?? Hehehe.

We did a back to back on the dream last year. With our family included it was actually a back to back to back cruise. The 7night fantasy was a little more expensive than the 3 and 4 night on the dream. We also saved only paying for 3 nights parking at the port vs. 7. If you don't mind the repetition of the menus then have at it. You can also try out Palo, Remy, and Cabanas dinner buffet, this way you would never actually see the same menu twice!

There are benefits to booking the same room for both cruises, so try and do that for convenience. We ended up 2 doors down on the second cruise, so we had to pack up our stuff so the room host could move it for us. Our next back to back has us in the same room. I am really looking forward to that!

We did a 4 night on the Dream to complete our Grand Slam after doing only 7 nights or more on the other ships. It went by way too fast! I wouldn't do it again unless I was doing a back to back.

Our one cruise so far was 7 nights (Alaska), we are thinking of booking a 3 night on the Dream this spring as well since we will be down that way for another matter. I would like to try all 4 ships so this is a less expensive way of adding a second ship without putting out alot of money. Would also love to visit Castaway Cay! So I think 3 nights will be better than no nights!

We are doing a back to back out of Miami at the end of the month on the Magic. It gives us two 5 night cruises, one is a Western and
one is a Bahamian with a stop in Key West. Each has a stop at Castaway. We are keeping the same cabin.

We booked ours as a bonus but I can see it might be a case of Cruising scope creep lol.. first there was just WDW.. then that one off cruise ... then I wonder what Conceirge is like as a 'treat' ... then the b2b .. then bankruptcy..
LOL, Don't do concierge................we did our first one as a Port upgrade and now it seems we book it most every time. The service is wonderful, the extra space in the T category room is amazing and getting access to the cabanas on CC makes it so nice for our family.

You wont want to go back

Same here... It's too late for us.. Save yourselves... Don't go near that lounge..or that sun deck...

Have done 7 nights and now just do 3 or 4 nights. Personally speaking, we found once we did the 7 night it was over and that was it for
a year. Long time between those 7 nights!

We now take shorter cruises and can look forward to twice a year instead. Same number of days but now we have the anticipation of another one
much sooner. That's half the fun in our book!

We've done 4-night and 7-night cruises. Much prefer the longer ones, but any cruise is better than no cruise.

I could see his being our mindset if we didn't have such major travel expenses getting to port. Coming from Tucson to FL is a barrier :(
