Just wondering if any Dream cruisers can tell me where the least crowded lunch spot would be on embarkation day? I've read Cabanas is crazy, so what are my other options? I am a seasoned cruiser and crowds don't phase me but i have some newbies with us and want to make it as pleasant as possible as I always tell them how great cruising is:guilty: Thanks in advance!

Enchanted Garden is open for lunch, also.

I will have to get back to you in November! I have not been on the Dream yet, I am sure someone else will answer.

Sorry to hijack your post but I was wondering how late in the day Cabanas is open...not sure when we will be arriving at port.

Hello! I was on the Maiden Voyage with my family and the Enchanted Garden was open as well and was not as crowded....

Cabana's was open to 4pm if I remember correctly.

Remember it was the 1st sailing so it may have changed since then. But hope this helps some :worship:

I ate at Enchanted Garden upon arrival, and felt that the buffet set up was terrible! While a gorgeous restaurant, it's just not designed well for a buffet. Once you got out of line, you were in the middle of the restaurant and I was walking between lots of tables to get back to my own, which was on one side of the buffet. One other thing that I noticed was that it really isn't kid friendly if you have little ones. I had heard on here that you can request kid stuff by asking the servers, but I was told no after asking several people. My understanding is that there were kid friendly choices at Cabanas. Honestly, this buffet was my only real disappointment on my cruise.

I was on 3/27 Dream cruise. We boarded at 12:20 and ate at Cabanas at about 1:15. It was not crowded. We got a table by the window and I felt the food was quite adequate. Great variety. (Lots of peel and eat shrimp - yum!) I wanted a view which is why I chose Cabanas after reading other reviews prior to leaving and realizing that if we went to EG, we would not be seeing anything outside.

As a cruiser who HATES the embarkation buffet on the Wonder I found Cabanas to be very nice. the selection was excellent and since they seat you and then you find your food I found it much less stressful than the buffet on the Wonder.
