Dream Cruise - November 25, 2012

Hey all! Hope you're having a good weekend so far. It's been good here, except for the hurricane off the coast. A lot of rain and wind. But overall good.

Can't wait to cruise. Love the graphic.

Not really coming up with ideas for a cruise name... Something with dream, or after thanksgiving, stuffed dreamers?

What about our name being "Disney Dreamers?" I know it sounds like my DIS name! LOL Maybe that's why I like it.
Or going with Me0215's suggestion on relating it to Thanksgiving-----"Thankful Dreamers"?

I am so glad that someone on cruise critic told me about this board! We are so excited and could not find a 'hot' thread about the Nov 25 sailing!
We are 3, Vincent, Kasia (me) and our little man John (5yrs). Our first Disney cruise, we have cruised many times with other lines (even got married on a ship, love to cruise)!!!!
I did read all the info you have, and would love to have the opportunity to join the gift exchange by tomorrow if that's ok? I want to make sure I know what we are getting into and that I can make something, and if not that I know what to buy. It sounds like so much fun, but do not have all the info YET!

Just adding my input on names for our group. I really like the suggestion of
"Thankful Dreamers"! Hope plans are going well for everyone. It's getting really busy around here and really cluttered with FE stuff and pirate gear!! It's so much fun. I feel so bad for those cruising around Sandy this week-end. Can't wait to meet everyone.

I have been sending it via email, not here on the boards. It seems half the people receive it when I send it and half the peopl don't. :-( I'm going send them out individually...everyone check your spam folders in your email accounts you gave me!

Also, unless there are any objections, I'm going to make the cutoff date for joining the FE this Sunday (Oct.28th).

I hope everyone is having fun making and buying gifts! I know I am, I have a lovely FE making night planned for tomorrow night.

I am packing layers. A hoodie and a long sleeve shirt to slip on in the evening. And one pair of jeans. I figure if I have to I will wash them but if my kids wear them only in the evenings, they shouldn't (fingers crossed) get too dirty. I just think the wind my make it chillier.
We went to Disney this time last year (late November) and it did get chilly in the evenings. My daughter ended up in jeans, socks and sneakers and a short sleeve shirt with a hoodie. In fact I had to buy hoodies for my kids b/c we didn't pack them.

It's been our experience that this time of year it's still very mild in Orlando - starting out a little cool in the am and then warming up, so layering is a good thought to go with. Haven't been to the Bahamas before, but I would think the weather will not be very much different . What a nice long vacation for you guys!!! Two years ago, we hit Orlando the week before Christmas a day ahead of a massive cold front and had to buy jackets and blankets and ear muffs to keep warm, so I guess you really just don't know for sure what's coming. Have a great time!

Living here... It's a gamble with the weather. The cold front came in and I'm hoping it stays. It's chilly in the morning and warms up during the day and gets cold at night. So definitely layer.

For cruising, it can be hit or miss. We've cruised in Nov and Dec before. Nov was comfortable but chilly on deck with the winds. And dec was freezing! ( Even on castaway cay with the sun shining.) I'm always cold so I'm in jeans when walking around the ship.

Can't wait. Now I have to get moving on FE gifts and a packing list.
