Dream Cat 9A cabins

Does anyone have photos of room 8500 or 7500 category 9A
These are handicap rooms but I was wondering how the bathroom is set up. Calls to DCL give me different answers

I don't have a photo, but 8500's bathroom was your standard split bath.

Even thought it is a handicap room it was a regular split bath?

Wait a minute - ignore my last post.
I checked the deck plans and I was in connecting rooms 8000 & 8002, right next door to 8500. My apologies for the mistake.

So the question remains....

Does anyone have picture of cat 9A room 8502 on the Dream? We have it in August 2012 on our double dip. Just two adults. Was is noisy? Any problems? Never have been in any area of the ships except upper decks port forward.

We just moved from a Cat 11B to 9A room #6506 for the 11/23 Dream cruise this upcoming Thanksgiving and now I'm a nervous wreck worrying about the noise from Vibe or the nearby laundry room. Does anyone have any recent reports or pictures for this room?

We sailed in 8004 on our Double Dip earlier this month and loved the location. It was very quiet (so few rooms back there) and we loved the extra space. The window provided light, but not much of a view unless you were right near it. Our parents had 8006 for the first cruise and we were amazed at all the space. It was like a jr. suite.

We booked another 9A for our Fantasy cruise while onboard. We chose 8502 since the location was fantastic and we liked the width/setup of the room. The corner rooms were booked, or we would have snatched one of those!

DH and I had stateroom 7502 on our recent cruise and we loved it! I would be happy to stay there again. It felt very roomy. It was also very quiet. There was no hall traffic which was nice. The laundry room was just around the corner.

sometimes there would be CMs running around out there switching the flag and hosing off the deck

Just booked 6502 and 6000 for December 2012. They're non-connecting. We'll post loads of photos afterwards! But in the meantime, if anyone has photos to share, please do!

Since this is an older thread, just wanted to post for anyone new reading this that the rooms mentioned are no longer classified as Category 9A as listed in the post title. In October 2011, the forward facing 9A rooms on the Dream/Fantasy on deck 6 and the large forward corner rooms on decks 6, 7 & 8 were downgraded to Cat 9D, and the forward facing rooms on decks 7 & 8 were downgraded to Cat 9C because of the obstructed view out the porthole.

The only Dream/Fantasy 9A cabins remaining after the category changes are the side facing 9A cabins on decks 6, 7 & 8 (my favorites!) and the accessible aft corner cabins on decks 5 & 6.

6000 and 6502 are 9D. I hope we like them. We had a 9B on Deck 2 before and loved it, but we wanted to be near other family members this time. They'll be around the corner in 2 8As.

We had cabin 6000 on the Dream in May. I liked the room- seemed to have extra floor space- we didn't need to put the suitcase under the bed there was room near the end of the desk area and they were still out of the way. The "window" was good for light but I felt you have to walk right up to it and look out to see the ocean. Also, these rooms are at the very front of the ship...good to get some exericse in:rotfl:.

I know I have some pics....let me look.

Thanks, I was curious about that as from what I could see, the 09A rooms are now limited to the following:

5186, 5686
6008, 6506
7008, 7506
8008, 8506

The ones on Deck 5 are the larger rooms, but are above the nightclub/bar area.

We booked our cruise before they changed the forward-facing and corner rooms to a different category. I'm not sure what we'll get now, but tomorrow is check-in day, so we'll see.

Wondering if anyone has photos of 8586 on the Dream. I understand it is an "accessible" room but just looking to see if anyone has an idea of how its set up....

I have some photos of the Fantasy 09D cabins on Deck 6. Shall I post them here, or is there a better place for them?

These pics should give you the general idea. I've got a few more if there is anything specific that you want to see. FWIW, we loved the room!

Can you please repost the pictures- I cannot see them and they just assigned me this room. Thank you
