*Before I continue, I wanted to show you the picture that they take of you before you board the ship*
Please join me now for a fantastic dinner at Remy's!
Remy's is a French restaurant that is not on the rotational dining and is $75 extra per person. Us being huge foodies, we knew we had to check this restaurant out. We booked it at exactly the 75 day mark and there was only one dining option available which happened to be the first night of the cruise and the first seating (6pm).
We walk into a very gorgeous, yet comfortable (and very empty) dining room and are seated at the front of the restaurant up against the window, and this was our view:
The table near us:
And if you look closely, you'll see Remy hiding up there in the chandelier. One of the waiters told us, that is around $15,000 so they not only put it up there to make it look like Remy was 'overseeing' the dining room, but so that it wouldn't get stolen.

Makes sense to me!
After we got seated, the manager came over and brought a miniature table and sat it right next to me, which was for my purse

Thank you for treating my purse with such care gentlemen

. It got a little weird at this point, because I look over to my right, and up against the back wall were about 5 different waitstaff, just kinda standing there, looking like they were guarding us.

I felt awkward for taking pictures while they were watching me, then FINALLY a second couple came into the dining room and started giving attention to that party (thank goodness). A drink waiter came over and started making us a chilled champagne cocktail which has champagne, mint, raspberries, and another liquid which I thought was vodka. It was very refreshing and I believe it also helped cleanse your palette between every course.
You can see it in this picture of moi:
And a picture of the hubby (and you can see the Champagne Cocktail cart that the drink waiter rolls out to make your cocktail on in the background)
*Dress code: as you can see, my husband is wearing a suit with no tie. The gentlemen behind DH that you see in the picture was wearing a full on tuxedo with a vest. Other men that came in that evening wore sports jackets, suits and tuxedos, some with ties, some without ties. But everyone did wear a jacket. Ladies wore nice cocktail dresses and some wore dressy pant suits. Everyone came out in their best attire, so plan accordingly if you decide to dine here*

Here's the menu:
There are two tasting menus you can choose from: The French menu or the American menu as you can see from the top portion of the menu. The bottom portion allows you to mix and match what you'd like to eat. I went for the French menu and DH went for the American menu with a few modifications.
A bread waiter comes around and there were 3 different types of bread you can choose from, and we chose a truffle brioche which is to DIE for! Another waiter comes out and gives you, like a, pre-amuse bouche, which we got so quick, I didn't have time to take a picture of it. It was as small as a cube of cheese, and the waiter said to put the entire thing in your mouth because it was runny inside. It nearly EXPLODED in my mouth!

DH was caught off guard too because some shot out of his mouth! Definitely not appropriate for this environment!

So beware of the Pre-amuse!
The 'real' amuse bouche came out afterwards:
It tasted like an avocado puree with a baked parmesan cheese flake on top. It was very refreshing and delicious.
We decided to get order a bottle of wine, and the Drink waiter helped DH choose a nice red wine:
The wines range in price from $50 all the way to $25,000!

So if you feel like OVERLY splurging on wine that night, check out the nicer menu that they give you which looks like a huge book.
