Dream - August 29, 2013 - 3 Night Bahamian Cruise

Hello Everyone

It will be me and my DS (15)...we have travelled on the Dream on its maiden voyage so we are happy to be going back on her....We may add a few more ppl to this cruise but for right now..its just us two signed up HUGS!

I have done fishextenders before and we would like to do that again! As soon as I find out my cabin # then I will let you all now...we booked a veranda guarantee...!

I'd love to join, but first I have a question-- will you limit the list or lists to a certain number? Limiting the lists seemed to help out logistically and financially on my last FE...

On my last cruise, we decided to split the list in half when it got too big. People were then encouraged to only "gift" to the other cruisers on their half of the list (although the over-zealous did have the option to give to all the cruisers). I thought that was a good idea.


PS - yes I'm still alive. I haven't been on the boards in MONTHS (no good excuse) - but it's time to start the cruise planning again!

We'll be on this sailing too. This is our third DCL trip and our second on the Dream, so I know my boys will expect to participate in a FE exchange. I just have to find my fish extender. I know I put it somewhere to keep it safe. Anyone want to help me figure out where that safe place was?

We are:

Me (Tricia), DH (Brad), DS11 (Joshua), and DS8 (Daniel)

I don't have a cabin assigned yet as we booked the cheapest available rate for four. We'll sleep wherever they put us.

Not that I mind because it is fun, but my husband gave me some looks. You know *those* kind of looks. I just told him to stick the magnets on our door and get over it. This is part of my vacation process. So there.

I got a look the other day, when DH asked if we had to do FE for both of the legs of our back-to-back, and I said yes, of course. His look had to do not with what we were bringing to distribute, but the volume of goodies we will have to bring back home with us!

Yes, we always go home with more goodies than we bring. I can usually pack that better because I can dump it all into the bag instead of having to keep separate stuff with cabin numbers and names and all that. I'm not sure what we'll be bringing to give out this trip. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for some of the things I've enjoyed getting in the past or something new that catches my interest. I'm hoping to be inspired at some point with something that looks fun or useful.

I sent my request of the Facebook group this morning. I'm on FB almost daily, so I like having that contact as well.

Has anyone else received a credit for this cruise? I got $14.85 deposited into my checking account this morning from DCL and have no idea why. I checked the Port fees, but they're still the same. Anyone have any ideas?

Nevermind, I just called DCL, and it was a refund for the government taxes on my Dec. 1, 2012 cruise. Go figure!

Would love to do the FE. It will be me, my mother, my nephews (14 & 3) and my niece (6). We've done Wonder 2x and the Dream 2x but missed CC on our most recent cruise two years ago due to a late August hurricane. Let's hope for great weather!

Hello! I was looking around the DCL site today when I came across this cruise which fits nicely into the time that my DD (13) and I had booked for WDW and, although we'll be giving up a ton of park time, I couldn't resist Just booked a 6A GTY This will be our second Disney cruise. We would love to join the FE. So excited to be able to sail on the Dream!

Baleeve - what part of MA are you from? We live in Boston. Unfortunately the Boston Public Schools are starting back up a day before anticipated which forced me to change our original flight home and cut our post-cruise WDW time back by a day.

I would be interested in trying out Remy but my DD would kill me if I gave up a dinner with her at one of the 3 restaurants since this is just a 3 night cruise. Very jealous of your B2B. Hope you can find a table mate.

We all should definitely plan a cruise meet. Looking forward to meeting everyone in this group. My count is 48 in the group as of this morning (not including me and DD). 16 total cabins so far

We are only 15 minutes North of Boston. Small world huh?

I have a friend who joined the cruise before this one so HOPEFULLY I will get to Remy on that cruise!! I may also try to do the Palo brunch on that cruise. Fingers crossed.
