Hi All! I just booked two BTB and this one will be my 6th cruise which is directly after my 5th lol. We are so Excited! Can't wait to get to know all of you.:cool1:

Hi all - This will be our 10th or 11th cruise on Disney. It will be DW, DS7, DD 5 (B-day on board), and myself. Looking forward to cruising on the Dream.

Wow! 10th and 11th cruise, that is awesome! This will be 5th and 6th for us . We are doing BTB cruises. I see you work for Disney. Does this get you a discount for all these DC? Maybe we should move to Florida and work for the mouse if this is the case lol.:rotfl2:

Just booked this cruise today. We booked the 4 day on the 10th a few months ago & just decided to do B2B. This will be our (me DH &DS 13 ) 3rd & 4th disneycruise. Can't wait

Welcome to our cruise. :welcome:I am hopeing this cruise gets alot more attention. The last DC i did the group was great! I guess it's still early.

Surprised at how few have checked in for this one. The three day following this is jam packed!

Hi everyone!:wave2:
We booked this cruise and b2b 4/17 a while ago. The only reason i didn't check in earlier - i did not know about this site (I waited on cruise critic boards, but it's so quiet there..)
It is myself, Yelena, DH, Vadim, and DD, Katya (9). I am glad to see that many people doing b2b cruising. We have never done it before and are wondering how it will work out.
Very excited and can hardly wait!!! :hourglass :cool1:
Y.:disrocks:

We may be the only ones on the cruise:lmao::rotfl:

:cool1:

No-no-no - you are not the only ones :rainbow: Disboards addict is on board! :wave2: Always ready to share what i know and always looking for new ideas, tips, info, etc.
I was catching up with previous posts on this thread, as well as on 4/17 (33 pages:surfweb: :thumbsup2).

Amy - we are thinking of Atlantis via Comfort Suites as well. It is 3 of us and, i believe, 3 of you. Do you think it's possible to book one room and split the cost? just an idea....

Did anyone start packing yet?:dance3:

I think you can only go 4 to a room. Will have to double check that. Last year when we cruised, there were two families of 3, us and another family.... and we met a couple on here. So we put one of them on each reservation and split the cost. We also took a taxi over together, which was nice as I was a bit nervous about doing it all. Worked out great though and saved everyone some money. I think we may do atlantis on the 4 night as there is link(will post if/when I can find it) that says how many other ships will be in nassau and if I recall correctly there was a ton more ships in Nassau on the three night then the 4 night. I think I saved the link to my laptop so when I get on there, I will get back to you about it. Although I loved Atlantis so much, I would not hesitate to do it twice

OMG::coffee:
15-Apr-11 16240 Carnival Sensation, Disney Dream, Norwegian Epic, Oasis Of The Seas.

18-Apr-11 9400 Disney Dream, Allure Of The Seas
(post #278, page 19, 4/17 thread; i can not re-post this link bs i did not make 10 posts yet).

You are right, it might be better on 4/18; however, i think,a majority of passengers on Oasis would probably stay on board. We love Atlantis soooooo much, we will probably go twice: one time=beach only, second time=water park. But maybe both days with water slides? Our daughter loves it so much!!! We will gladly share a taxi! :Pinkbounc:earsgirl:

Is your daughter 9 now or will be at cruise time? My girls are currently 8 and 10. They too LOVED Atlantis. I was "thinking" a bit of maybe the sea lion encounter at Blue Lagoon since we went to Discovery Cove and they loved the dolphins so much. Maybe we can hook up and head to Atlantis together, especially if we do the CS route. Since Daddy doesn't cruise with us, having someone taxi over with really helps!

I just told my hubby that I might have found someone to taxi over with next April and he said, "Is there last name Van der Sloot??" lol

Please assure your husband that it's not our last name, lol:lmao:

K is 9 right now, will be 10 at the time of the cruise. She cruised with us on different cruise companies. She usually, LOVES kids club, and spends every possible moment there.:woohoo: I hope, it's the case again with DCL (DCL kids club usually open till 12 am, and it was hard to get her out of there even at that hour).
Do your girls like Webkinz? It is a great starting point for "getting to know each other" these days....
I am trying to make summer vacation plans on East coast (i believe, you are going to Outer Banks, right?) and did not look into Atlantis excursions yet. (I figured: beach + slides= great fun). Please keep me posted on sea lions or any other interesting ideas. BTW, K loved Discovery Cove a lot!!!

Only 10 months and 2 days left before our vacation!:yay:
Y.

My youngest LOVED the kids club, my oldest is very clingy and never went. I coaxed her into going when I was packing to go home. They even asked if she was "homeschooled" as she was being so shy. I think with the mixed age groups she will do better as my youngest is just so social, has 10 new friends within moments of arriving new places.... so I think my oldest might be a bit more willing to go and tag along with her little sister. True reversal as it is usually the youngest wanting to tag along with the oldest.:confused3 yes my kids play webkinz and club penguin and buildabearville.... We will try to hook them up.

I thought with the Blue Lagoon sea lion, they give you a specific time so the number of cruisers in port wouldnt affect it as much. I have read that they have a beautiful beach there too so you can hang at the beach plus the ride over you pass many "stars" homes along the way, so the catamaran ride is suppose to be fun too. Just not sure I can be that close to Atlantis and not go there. Decisions, decisions. :) My hubby had me pay off the cruises with our tax return so lots of time to save up some money for whatever excursions we want. We are just going to do our usual Virginia Beach this summer. After my mom passed, life has been a bit crazy and we are so comfortable at Virginia Beach, we decided to just go back to our usual summer vaca place. :beach:

Hi all--just checking in. We're definitely doing Atlantis--booking Comfort Suites. There are 3 of us too. We do have to go on 4/15 though--we're not on a B2B. We tried to switch our ressie to the 4 night on 4/17 but the children's programming was fully booked so even though there are cabins left, we can't book :sad2:.

I thought Oasis switched itineraries and was in Nassau on Sundays?? The reason I thought this was b/c we were booked on the 4/10 cruise but had to cancel--just too expensive right now. Anyway, originally Nassau was on Friday, but then it got switched to Sunday--at least that's how it was at the time that I cancelled that cruise.

We're beaching it this summer too--our whole family is heading to Ocean City in August--so much fun. It makes the waiting for this cruise much less painful.

Hi Bridget - how much are rooms in Comfort Suites? Did you book directly with them or via an internet site?:surfweb:

We can not decide where to go this summer. :confused3 We went to SC Myrtle beach/Hilton Head last 4 years. Loved it, but want something new. Loved Ocean City, but did it 3 times. Virginia beach - we went there only once.
Amy - any specific hotel recommendations? How is the ocean there in August? is it warm? (sorry, i am off DCL cruising topic, but i still did not make any reservation for August vacation and time goes so fast :goodvibes)
:dance3:

Comfort Suites is $250/night through their site. With fees and taxes it's about $310 which is still less than booking through DCL even when you then add in cab fare and lunch. Pretty pricey I think, but DS and DH really want to go, so we're going. I haven't booked it yet but I think I will very soon.

I went to Hilton Head once as a teen (many, many moons ago ). The beach was gorgeous. We also went once to Virginia Beach, that was nice too but I don't remember it very well. One of these years we'll have to go back. DH and DS would love to add Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens in with a VA beach trip. This is our third time going to OC--my sisters and parents go there mostly every year.

I am sorry to hear about your mom :sad1:, but it sounds like she had a beuatiful daughter (didn't she call you "an angel). Let the best memories stay with you and your children forever.....
I hope your older daughter discovers the fun at Disney kids club and you have a few minutes/hours for yourself. We should definitively introduce girls to each other prior to cruising, maybe via Webkinz website :dance3:

We like the end of the boardwalk, have always stayed at Quality Inn on 5th street. It is NOT worth the money, but the beach is quiet there, clean and there is a wooden handicap walkway clear out to the ocean, which is so great. We usually get trolley passes and spend the evening doing most of the free entertainment in town(magician(kids love him), comedian, balloon art, mustic, ect...) This year we are going to try the other end of the boardwalk. Holiday Inn Sunspree. They are redoing their pools and promise 2 water slides, 2 lazy rivers and a big pool. All remodeled rooms. Only problem it isn't quite done yet.. saying opening in July. Since we were going in July I emailed HOliday Inn management and they could not give me a specific date. By August you should be fine. I can give you an update after our July trip. A nice place to stay is Dolphin Run Condominums, but they have an indoor pool with an open roof and the kids liked the pool better at the Quality Inn. The are beautiful condo's with full kitchens, 2 baths. Rent sat-sat I believe. I know lots of good restaurants if you decide to go there. They really need to start getting more accomodations like Myrtle Beach there. We just like it as it is 3 hours closer, and enjoy the fireworks at the beach(twice a week) and free entertainment. There are a few new springhill suite places that just opened but they about $300+ anight!

We only paid $176 for the comfort Suites in Nassau in November, it was really a great deal. Just got to keep checking the site. We got that rate with a AAA discount.
