Dream aft verandah thoughts?

Room service breakfast is not an option as I am gluten-free. (Actually the only thing I could get is a *yawn* salad or Mickey Bars.)
well, it's an easy trip up to Cabanas and back. I did that many times to fetch items not on room service menu. But you could at least order your drinks from room service!

We had an Aft verandah room last cruise - the vibration was very noticeable, but we got used to it and learned to secure things in the room so it wasn't that big of a deal. TBH, my pet peeve was the darn bird poop! Housekeeping just couldn't keep up with cleaning it every day (we did complain about it, but to be fair it was understandable), so we couldn't use the verandah much.

We have 6192 booked for our next cruise and it will be our second time in that room. We LOVED it the first time we had it. It is the "flag room" so the flag flies from your balcony while in port. We thought that was neat, and the balcony is HUGE. We had 2 loungers, 2 regular chairs and a table out there with room to spare. We weren't bothered by motion or noise.

We were in this room our last Disney cruise. It was spectacular! I also loved having the "flag room". When we were driving to the port, I mentioned to DH "There's our room, the one with the flag!" and he thought I was joking (yeah, funny joke ??) I told him I was serious and he still didn't believe me. Not until we got to our room. He loved that verandah! He spent more time out there than anywhere on the ship. We both napped out there a few times, it was so peaceful. I love that the hallway down there was always empty - seriously, we never saw anyone else. I thought the other rooms were vacant, until one night I was leaning on the rail and peaked my head around to see our neighbor's verandah, and they were sitting out there. Oops!

OP, you will love having all that extra room! It is wonderful, so relaxing, and beautiful! The sunset every night was my favorite. The first night we noticed some motion, but that was our problem all over. DD ended up being sick that night and missed orientation at the teen club, but she ended up really getting along with our tablemates and hung out with them quite a bit. Other than that first night, I didn't notice any movement at all. I've read complaints about soot and other stuff on the verandah, and we never had any issues. I also liked that our verandah had a roof. It kept the sun, wind, and rain away from us relaxing. We did a Princess cruise last summer and couldn't get an aft verandah. I was so disappointed, and the regular verandahs are so small!

Motion is usually worst the first night coming out of Port Canaveral. The straights of Florida can be rough. We loved having that room too. Never had a problem with soot. It was very quiet.

5E cabins are the WORST! No one should EVER book them. Then they will always be available for ME! :)
