Dream a Little Dream: May 8-12, 2011

same here...always bought my kids everything at the parks but with free time and the internet, all i seem to do is buy things for Logan. actually, they had some good deals on sweat pants and long sleeved tops so they are going into the mail today. got him the cutest toy story carry on too. im sure i'll find things to get him there. he's really looking forward to eating a mickey ice cream for supper! i told him on vacation he can do whatever he wants and he said, even eat ice cream for supper. i said yep, they are mickey heads!!! that was about 6 months ago and he still talks about it. i really should of made these reservations for earlier because its getting really hard for me to wait! just seemed like mothers day with my grandson will be nice.:flower3:

I know the feeling of having a hard time waiting...I can tell you I am with you in that boat. But it will come soon enough we are only 119 days from flying out. We have started planning our packing. We made a shopping list for each person and will pick up a little here and there. But at least for us we have to have all of our school work done before we go because when we come back the kids only have 1 week left of school. So we have lots to do. I would say get your planning hat out read any travel guides, make a shopping list and work on your day plans that way when the time comes you can book fast. You could make your grandson a paper chain so each night he can take one link off counting down the days. I know my kids love that.

thanks for posting the video. it choked me up and made me realize how thankful i am to God for allowing me to take my grandson on this trip.:flower3:

I agree I feel blessed that we are getting to go...:thumbsup2 I can not wait to step on the plane to fly there. But we have so much to do just to get there. :cool1: I hope that makes time fly by.

Thanks for posting this!:thumbsup2

I've been thinking about this most of the day. Glad to get home from work to view the updates.

We're almost down to four months!!!

I know I could hardly sit still all day...I am so ready to go. Our house only has 119 days...just over 3 months!:cool1:

Time should fly for this end part...I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I said my house is counting days not months any longer it just seems shorter looking at it as days.

Wasn't it fun watching The Dream dock today?:goodvibes I usually do a countdown (mark off days on a dry erase board) at 100 days but I've already started at 125- I couldn't wait:lmao: I also can't wait for the trip reports to come in!!

Me and my sister will be cruising with you on May 8. Watching the video of the Dream's arrival made me realize it won't be long before we are on board.

Welcome aboard...I am sure you are like the rest of us counting down the days and dreaming of the dream. I heard on the news that most of the sailing days are already sold out for the 1st year...:scared1: I guess we are all lucky we booked early.

Thanks for the welcome. Time is really starting to pass fast. I can't believe it has been a year since we put down our deposit. Still need to pay the balance off then it will be smooth sailing.

I can tell you that once you payoff that balance it feels great and even more real. :thumbsup2

116 Days here until we fly out...I can not wait.

Were is everyone...:confused3. Just wondering since I have missed all the post flying in.

Has an one talked about what they plan to do for their shore days??? Or any plans for time on the ship. I have not even started looking at it. My big goal is the aquaduck. By the way my little guy has hit 48" tall...he can go on the aquaduck!!!! We are getting the boys water shoes for the beach and walking on deck. I just know them and running on deck would be better with shoes. And the other one will not walk in the ocean with out them. He worries about what he is walking on.

Here in South Carolina we're watching the weather closely as there's a chance of a major winter storm Sunday & Monday. Where I live, an ice storm is predicted so I'll be getting prepared tomorrow just in case.

I think I'm going to stay on the ship on the Nassau day to enjoy the pools and AquaDuck. Not too sure about what to book for the day at Castaway Cay. Hopefully they'll be copies of the Navigators up on the disboards after the initial sailings - these will be useful in planning activites on the ship.

Just wondering if we're going to plan a meet sometimes on the crusie? I'd really like to say "Hi" to everyone on our thread, even if its only for a few minutes.

our minds are thinking alike. not sure what to book on castaway cay. really want to do the stingray thing and snorkeling but i think Logan will be afraid to snorkel. he will be 5, but a "scarey 5". last summer, he was afraid to let go of me in a pool, even with water wings on! im trying to get him to do swimming lessons this winter, but he's afraid. if that's the case, i guess he'll just play. i'd like to skip nassau also, but my husband wants to take a quick peek. we'll see. i think meeting face to face would be great too. we'll work on that! i'd love logan to meet your boys. i looked on the list to see their names, but you arent doing fish exchanger?:flower3:

I don't have any children; I'm going on this cruise solo.

We are thinking about not leaving the ship in Nassau, also. We would like to explore everything and take tons of pics. Have already booked Palo for dinner and brunch and booked the spa for myself. Am really getting excited!
