Dream a Little Dream: May 8-12, 2011

ok so I want to share with our xmas morning.:thumbsup2 It did not go off the way I had pictured it in my head. :confused3 This is what we did. I got a huge castle box with dragons and such on it. On the inside of the box we put a bannar the said...WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD, SEAWORLD, AND ON THE DISNEY DREAM CRUISE SHIP. They did not get it. :scared1: I also had when you wish upon a star playing. They got it a few mins later. My one son eyes got real big the the older one said "this is lame it is just words". I was so upset:sad1: Then we talked to him more and he got. He thought we were just planning it not that it was booked and we were counting down!!! we showed him the paperwork we have on the trip. He then got it.:worship: We watched the planning dvd. He now says he can not wait to go.

So we asked Spencer now that you had xmas what are you going to do next...He said I am going to Disney!!:cheer2::woohoo::santa:

we were lucky, it looks like about only 6". hope everyone had a great christmas. going shopping with my son, before he leaves to go visit his girlfriend in Toronto tomorrow then they both go back to university in halifax after new years. i'll miss him. he's snowblowing right now!:flower3:

Same to all of you! We got 22 inches of snow in the last 24 hours!
Glad we weren't trying to get to FL now!

I can't imagine that much snow! We had 3 inches day before yesterday and that's a big deal in the south. We even had a bigger mess this morning. The snow partially melted then refroze last night.

Our high temps for this weekend are in the upper 60's to around 70. I can't wait!

Just wanted to stop by and wish you all a safe new years eve!!!:thumbsup2 Have fun but be safe. :cool1: Also just counted it out and as of Jan 1 we are 122 days from flying out to Disney. Let the real fun start as we count down days not just months any more.:woohoo:

Wonder if anyone has done seaworld and if so what did you think of it? We are thinking about taking the kids there for one day. But the cost is almost $400.00 bucks :scared1: and I am wondering if it is worth it? Or if we should just take a day by the pool?

Loved sea world. used to go every year. show was fantastic. when the whale killed its trainer earlier this year, i made a decision not to go to anymore, because it is people like me that attributed to keeping those poor creatures in captivity. apparently, the whale did not want to perform that day, but it was forced to because of the $$ . i always wondered why captive whales' dorcal fins are slouched...they are suppossed to be wild! now that is just my opinion for myself. If you decide to take your family, there are rides they will love and it is also a very educational place regarding marine life. I dont know of one child who leaves there not wanting to be a marine biologist!:

Happy New Year everyone! flower3:

I hear you...my son has wanted to work with dolphins since he was 2 and he is 9 now. He says he wants to be a dolphin doctor. So I am thinking for him it would be good. I just hate spending that kind of money when I don't know if he will enjoy it or not. He has talked about going there for years. So I guess we should just do it so he can say he was there.

Hey I just wanted to share with you all WE ARE PAID IN FULL!!!!!!:cool1::cheer2::woohoo::banana::cool1::cheer2::woohoo::banana:

I can not wait to step on the boat or to fly out to Disney World.:dance3:
What a way for us to end 2010 is to have the trip paid for in full.

Hey I just wanted to share with you all WE ARE PAID IN FULL!!!!!!

I need help, here: I have the $ sitting in the bank, so I could pay in full to. When I asked our TA if there was any benefits for paying in full, she never really answered. But since I read you did it, maybe you, can answer this question. Why did you pay in full so much in advance? Any benefits?

Since my $ is still making some very little interests in the bank, would there be any incentive to follow in your footsteps?

Thanks for your time,

Have a very Happy New Year everybody: It's our cruising year, after all

There is only one benfit to have it paid for...depending on if this is your 1st cruise with Disney or not. The day it opens for your bookings for polo or shore trips...none of which can be booked until Disney knows they have your payment. So we paid ours now...we can book at the end of Jan since we have sailed before. I would say paying early is worth knowing that morning you can wake up (extra early) and get everything you want. So if you have the money and this is your 1st DCL trip...pay for it at the end of Jan so you know Disney has it so you can book it your extras. Hope this helps you out.:thumbsup2

Wow! this is informative!
And sadly, yes, it's our first cruise. So, yes, we're the last ones on the list to be able to make reservations.

O.K., we are not going to do Palo or Remy on this trip since the cruise is based on creating magic for the little one. But next cruise, though...
I already paid the "Swim With the Dolphins" in Nassau, so here again, there is no reason on this cruise, to pay in advance.

Now, we didn't talk about the numerous possibilities on CC. I talked with my Godmother/friend who is going to help me on the trip with the little one and when we looked at the choices DD11 can do with her Cerebral Palsy and her Autism, we're still debating. Like, I, would LOVE, parasailing... but would DD11 accept to come with me? So, not knowing in advance what she will accept to do or not, I find it difficult to decide so long in advance, even though, DD LOVES water! (And this is why she is so thrilled to know she'll swim with the dolphins). But since I now know that there is a possibility to reserve in advance, it makes me think even more and talk with her earlier about the choices (they are so many!).

1000 thanks for your prompt answer, like always,

No problem I try to share any info that I have with any one that needs help. Any questions please just ask and I will get back to you as fast as I can. That is what we are all here for.

I can tell you once you pay it in full it is the best feeling!!!!:woohoo: I wanted to do the happy dance.

Don't know if any of you follow the "codes and discounts" thread, but Disney has a new discount offer that covers the dates of our cruise. So if you're planning a WDW stay either prior to or after the cruise, looks like there're some really good discounts! If you already have a reservation, you can call Disney CRO and ask about applying the discount to your ressie.

The offer is not up on the WDW website yet so you'll have to call Disney CRO. Code YM3 is for room only ressies and code SMP is for packages. Folks are reporting that they're having to call CRO several times to obtain the discount as some CM's are saying they can't apply the discount.

i think i deleted my original one now:confused3

no, i did not...as you can see i am not very good with this stuff!

Hey Amelia: I think your problem is that you're using the code under "HTML".

Go back and set up another ticker and copy and paste the code provided under "PseudoHTML, UBBCode or BBCode" (used on many message boards that don't allow HTML) into your signature page.

Dont' forget to delete the one that's not working.

Hope this helps!
