Sure was bad here in North Attleboro. Thought all the trees were going to land in our bedroom.

well I am with you on the weather...but at least our weather here seems to be getting better than what it was. :woohoo: I am hoping that this means that spring is coming and sticking around. Our snow is gone:cool1:. We are are 73 days away from flying out. I am thinking once we hit the 60 day mark it is going to fly by...but even more so when we hit spring break.

We are making our final shopping list and planning list. What we want to hit on each day and at what park. And we are booking our limo to the airport and back.

Things are starting to really fall into place...I might even pull out the suitcases soon to let them air out. But not until after my son's birthday. Which is Wed. he will be 7 years years old....so after his party I hope it is nice enough to put the suitcases outside for some fresh air.

This cruise will be a great way to start off the summer season! This has been the worst winter we have seen in many years. Ice, snow and freezing temps all to the extreme! :scared1: I know complaining about the weather is useless, but I'm DONE with winter!!! Bring on spring and that beautiful Caribbean weather!!! :beach:

I am with you this weather has been nuts...I can not wait to get out of chicago. I think I am driving my friends nuts with my countdown. I love the beach weather and I am sure we will all live it up. Besides when we get back the weather here should be good too. I can not wait.

But hey today is the Daytona 500 kind of the start of spring/summer season. So lets start our engines and watch some nascar and plan our beach days.:woohoo::happytv:

Busy day for me on the internet . . . . completed my online check-in and got the second-earliest port arrival timeslot (11:00 to 11:30). And lots of crusin' the disboards :thumbsup2

Have you all discussed having a DIS meet? I found this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2661081

Looks like a nifty spot. Any thoughts?

I am wondering how everyone got these timeslots I could only get a 2pm. I have even gone back to recheck and edit and still I can only get 2pm. I did call Disney and I will be there earlier than that. We are staying right by port so I plan to head over real early to check out port...and the kids want to see the machines load the ship. They love machines.

Mickey4, FWIR port arrival time is a suggested time. I also read that the early check in times are reserved for Concierge and Platinum guests. We are gold and when we went to check in about 30 days ago all times were available. HTH

Yes I know they are suddested times...I am just lost why people that just hit the 75 day mark can get 11am but I could not when I hit the 90 day mark. But my thinking behind it is and I may be wrong that Disney is trying to keep it fair so they have blocks at each time slot for each level of guest. 120, 90, 75. If that makse sense. We are going over early so we can check out port and the terminal...because last time we got to the boat really late and was told to board right away. Our bus was held up so we were like the last group to board. This is how late we were they had shut lunch down in the dinning rooms expect for the all you can eat. The kids missed Mickey in the terminal so this time I want them to get to take it all in and to enjoy it. I don't mind waiting to board..I just want the full deal this time. So we are renting a car and going to head over early. I am sure like the rest of you we are counting down the days until we leave and making last plans for your trip.

wish i can push a like button!:flower3:

Just curious, does anyone else have a verandah cabin? We love having the verandah. Nothing beats the view and sea air right in your room! :goodvibes

From what I hear they do reserve slots for all group releases, they do this with Palo, Excursions, as well. I understand your disappointment. I would do as you plan. We are renting a car to get there early, we are going to be at Bay Lake Tower and the busses come too late for my liking.

I totally understand your frustration, because last time we sailed DCL (on the Magic in April 2009), I had booked about a year in advance and kept learning about all the deals and good fortune people who had booked a few months out were getting/having. So, this time around, I'm in the "last-minute-Louie" group (well, sort of, if you consider three months before as last minute), and I have zero expectations. My job has been so crazy lately, I am just thrilled with the fact that I won't be in the office for a week, never mind that I'll be on the DREAM! :cloud9:

I've scanned through the more recent postings on this thread and I didn't see a list of all the participants. If no one's put one together, I would be happy to! I'm such a list-maker.

I've found that several of us have posted our "real names" along the way, so I've jotted them down. Last cruise, I met several from our cruise thread in the terminal and it was great fun to bump into each other onboard!

Yes, we have a verandah, category 5D, on deck 6. On our last cruise, we booked an outside stateroom with a porthole, no verandah, but were upgraded to a verandah stateroom. :cool1:

Oh, and I'll pass along a tip from another DISer: order the cheese and cracker plate from room service (free, just need to tip the server) for late afternoon cocktails (which we'll be carrying on with us, because DCL is awesome about allowing you to bring alcohol on board!) before heading up to dinner or the theater. I cannot WAIT!:cheer2:

Hi all, just getting caught up on the posts. It has been a crazy winter in Memphis. Two weeks ago we had snow and ice, then spring weather, and now as i am reading post the tornado sirens have gone off. I will be so glad when spring and summer get here. I will take the hot summer anyday over this mess we get in Memphis that we call winter.

What is everyone doing in regards to excursions. I am planning to do wave runners (single) on CC. My sister doesn't much care for the water, so I will go it alone. Never riden on one before. We haven't decided on what to do in Nassau, last time we did the Segway tour back in 2009.
