Dream 9/14/15 4 night

:welcome: and congratulations!

Dizmom6 - we have second seating too! Looking forward to the food! Hoping the kids will take advantage of the "dine and play" so DH and I can at least enjoy a quiet dessert together! :cloud9:

We are also second seating and hoping to take advantage of dine and play.

What one food item are you all looking forward to most on the cruise? For me it's a toss up between Palo's calamari and their chocolate souflee

The best is the palo brunch and all the dessert there yum!! Also, the chicken Parm at the palo brunch = fantastic!!!!!

We are first dining - we don't like eating late - plus that way I can still have my room service milk and cookies before bed.

Can't wait!!!!!

:welcome:
It's so great to have you with us and you're really getting married on CC???!!! Will that be this trip?

On another note....152 days from now we will all be enjoying our first night on the cruise! I'll be at dinner (2nd seating), eating myself sick. What will you be doing?

Yes, I'm getting married on CC on this trip (Sept 17).

Doesn't that just sound like fun? I can't wait to move the kiddos along to their respective clubs so I can have adult Disney time...if there is such a thing.:thumbsup2

As far as food items go....I'm game for just about anything but I must admit that the chocolate souflee sounds heavenly. I'd make reservations just for that!

To my dear Sleeping Princess...I see your logic with first dining...but I ask you this - If I eat my milk and cookies at a decent hour, what ever will I order at midnight-1am ish?:dog2:

Yes, I'm getting married on CC on this trip (Sept 17).

Whoo hoo!:bounce:

Unfortunately, posts have been removed from a number of Cruise Meets threads including this one.

PLEASE review the Cruise Meet Policy regarding Cruise Meet and Fish Extender programs. - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3353477

Links to Cruise Meet discussion/Fish Extenders other than those on the DIS may not be posted or offered by any other means (PM, email, "search" directions, etc.).

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread.

DISboards Fish-Extender Basics

Enjoy!

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

:maleficenGreat! I'll add you to the FE list. I'll be sending out the final list June-ish. I have a 9 yr old son and an 11 yr old son...it's nice that they will have others their age on the cruise.

Awesome never done this. But it sounds great. Can't wait. Thank you

:welcome: We too have kids around that age! Can't wait!
I can't wait either, I have only been on one cruise that was this past January. I was so sick, I went with just my 11 year old this time I'm taking my two granddaughters both get car sick I'm very nervous. People tell me the Disney ship is bigger that it would be better.

:( sorry you were sick, but glad you're giving it another try. This is our first cruise. DD12 also gets car sick. I'm planning to ask her Dr ahead of time what medicines she can take just in case she gets motion sickness on the ship. We've reserved cabins mid ship - some folks have said that helps. My mom gets horrible motion sickness. We took her on Soarin once, and that did her in for the rest of the day. :( She said she wasn't too bothered by the two cruises she went on, but she did bring meds with her just in case. Fingers crossed for smooth sailing! pixiedust:

Was just looking at the thread about the new updates coming to the Dream later this fall - the month after we sail. :rolleyes2 Didn't realize that the Dream was going into dry dock so soon after our cruise date. Anyways... Just wondering if the ship will seem run down because it's so close to a refresh? Ha, not that I will have anything to compare it too. My kids would go nuts over the Star Wars themed area in the kids club. Forget the kids, I'd have to drag DH out of there! LOL. The updates to the adult pool look nice too. If everyone enjoys the cruise as much as I think they will, it might be my way to book another cruise while on board! :scratchin

I was reading about that also...but look at it this way, we'll be some of the last people to get to go on the true original ship! Yeah, I know I'm reaching. I do like your logic about booking another cruise while onboard. Yes, I just might have to see if it works on the DH. I doubt it but a princess can dream!

Are your kids excited about the clubs onboard? My younger ones are but the older ones aren't so sure.

I like the positive spin - I like originals. ;)

Yes and no... regarding the kids being excited about the clubs. We homeschool, so they're used to being together. They ENJOY being together. They all really like what they've seen of the club/lab, but I doubt that they will let DS14 go into the club/lab and I understand that. Fortunately DD12 can pal with him and she's excited about the edge. But, I'm sure DS9 will have a bent nose if the older two go off without him. I'm hoping they might let him go into the edge with the older two - but I'm not counting on that either. Or even better, he sees the edge and realizes that the club/lab is more fun. I don't know if DS3 will go into the lab/club without the older ones, especially his big sis. Ah, the troubles of having unsocialized homeschooled kids. :rotfl2:

:grouphug:We also homeschool so I really appreciate the "unsocialized" comment. :rotfl2: Will I ever stop laughing? I told the kiddos that they can do what they're comfortable with...I'm not going to push anything.

Are ya'll (my Texan coming out) planning on getting off the boat in Nassau? The boys really want to go to Atlantis but quite frankly, I think my budget has reached it's limit :scared:(1 wk at DW before the cruise). I'm thinking....Aqua Duck or ...I don't know. I keep changing my mind.:confused3

Castaway Cay is another story. We will conquer that island!:beach:

Phew... Was wondering how my sarcasm would come across. So cool that you also homeschool!

I hear ya about the budget - not cheap traveling with 4 kiddos! We are planning to stay on the ship at Nassau. No excursions for us. We will probably rent some floats at CC, maybe rent a paddle boat. I'm hoping there will be enough to keep us busy on the ship and at CC that we won't even miss the excursions. Plus having the 3 year old makes finding "everyone friendly" excursions a little more difficult.

After the cruise we're planning a chillax-by-the-pool day, a day at LegoLand, and then a night at MNSSHP before heading home.

I'm just looking forward to getting away, a change of scenery, and relaxing. It's been a few years since we've taken a vacation. We're all ready!

This will our first cruise ever!!! I ask for suggestions from Facebook friends and they said to check here and find a fish extenders group. Soooo... I don't know much about it but it sounds fun. Any groups here?

We have the start of an FE activity. I'm taking the lead with it. You'll need to let me know the ages and sexes of the kiddos. I'll put a list together June-ish so that everyone knows where everyone is located.

We're happy to have you with us! Feel free to post all you want because it's fun getting to know everyone ahead of time. Oh....and WELCOME!
