Dream 5-Night March 4, 2012

I'm not even sure if were going to the pirate pirate party this time, We were'nt real impressed with it. Although Rogan thought that was really Johnny Depp:) I didn't tell her otherwise;)

Hi everyone! On our last cruise I started a thread just for the kids to get to know each other before the cruise. We just paid off our cruise:cool1: so Rogan want's me to start another kids thread. It might take me a couple... (few)trys, don't exactly remember how I did it,but it took me a whileto give everyone the link;) So....here it goes.

Just one too may http:// s maybe?

yay! That works!:thumbsup2

Thanks for setting this up.:goodvibes

Just wondered...
Did you have the kids communicate under your screen name?

Great idea! I will show my 11 year old son how to login, he will love to get to know some kids. Oh, but first I'll have to tell him about the cruise! :rotfl2: I think I'll tell him soon so that he can get started online.

Hey everyone I think we have a full ship! I just went to look at pricing for our sail date and it doesn't even come up anymore.

We'll definitely be dressing up. :thumbsup2

Is anyone else doing days before or after in the parks?
Heard some sad news this morning. Big thunder mountain will be closed!:scared1:
We are very sad about this. It's our favorite ride and our youngest wouldn't ride it last time. Now we've watched the ride on YouTube and she's all ready to ride, it won't be an option. Sigh.
Never mind. There's lots more to do!

We are planning about two days in the park... one of them before the cruise. It is our buffer with flying across country... just to be sure we don't miss the boat (pun intended ;) )
Just still trying to figure out the best ways to get down to the port... it will be expensive for all 5 of us to use the disney transportation, so renting a car may be the only option and paying drop off fee.

It is fun to plan anything disney related! So it is all good.

We arrive on Thursday morning. In a money saving effort we decided to just have 2 nights onsite and then go to the port saturday night. We're booked at CI&S. Now...if they come out with a room discount then all that may change!;)
Either way we still need to get to port.
We were thinking about a towncar. It's a little cheaper that disney transportation but not much. Worth it though for the convenience we think. Especially after the cruise. We're going back to an onsite hotel for 2 nights and I want to get there as soon as possible to get in the parks :-)
With 5 of you the towncar might be even more economical than for us. I will also look at hiring a car, but I quite fancy not driving!:goodvibes
Happy planning! :yay:

Anyone on here have kids who will be in the College Club group during this group?

I have twin daughters who will be 18 1/2, but still in high school, so they haven't decided which group to join. I have a feeling one will go to the Vibe club and one will go to the College Club group.

Hello everyone. My family will be cruising with you on March 4 and we are all getting very excited. This will be our second Disney cruise.

Does anyone know which nights the semi formal and pirate party will be?

Hi There! :wave2:
Welcome to our group and the disboards! Congrats on your first post!

We're also from NB! :yay:
Great way to spend March break :thumbsup2

We've been to WDW before for March break and always see people we know. Last time we even met someone from our street and a girl from my daughters class! Small world :goodvibes

What age are your children?

Thank you. We live in Fredericton and will be travelling with our 10 year daughter. We took her on the Disney Wonder when she was 4 and stuck to us like glue. We are hoping for a better experience this time.

We are also travelling with my sister, brother-in-law and their two girls (ages 10 and 8) and our neighbours who have a daughter who is 11. So lots of girls in our group.

We have not yet booked air travel yet as the prices seem so expensive. We are looking at Manchester, NH but don't really want to drive that far. We have always flown with Allegiant from Bangor but their prices even seem high this year.

Where do you live btw?

:lmao: Our screen-name may have given it away! We're from Fredericton too! I would laugh if one of our girls knows one of your party of girls! With theatre, music, dance and sports there's always a chance! Our girls will be just 12 (March 2nd) and nearly 8 when we travel.

We're actually flying from Boston with Jetblue. We got a really great price. $97 pp each way. We've flown from Boston before and don't mind the drive. Really easy. The girls are happy in the car..with ipods and dvd player! :goodvibes I looked at the allegiant flights too but they seem a lot more than in previous years. And I'm always worried about the weather at such a small airport with no other options.

Have fun exploring the boards!
Anita

So, having told our girls about this trip about 8 months ago, I wanted to do a few things during the year to remind them of what was to come!

Making the Fish Extender really got them in the mood. :thumbsup2

Now I've just added these to our car! Everyone is all excited again! :goodvibes

Anyone else have any pre-trip things they do?

Yes!!! We just had a group diner last saturday:banana:
There's 13 of us going on this cruise, some came from far away in Canada, so we took advantage of their presence her with us:yay:

125 days to go!!!!

Thanks:flower3: We'll be staying at CI&S also the night before:) How did you do those window decals on your car? Those are cute

I ordered them from ebay from offthewallvinyl. Really pleased with them. Lots to choose from too:goodvibes

I'm really excited to get to the port the night before. We might even cancel a park day and get there early enough to go down to the oceanfront. Any recommendations for places to eat?

We saw your daughter's post on the kids board. My youngest will reply tomorrow. She's in Grade 2 but one of the eldest in her grade with lots of Grade 3 friends. Also a big Monster High fan too! Anyway, she'l introduce herself soon. Too much halloween tonight! So glad it's over!:goodvibes
