DREAM 5-night June 21 2011

From what I remember from giving out our FE gifts there is access from the front all the way to the back, so you can use any stairs or elevators, but I could be mistaken. We were forward on 12 and did not feel any motion in the cabin, but if you want to be aft something may open up as payment is due. Did you ask to be waitlisted for what you want?

I am definitely going to keep an eye out.....maybe to upgrade even. We also got to thinking that it is near the adult areas and I think the rooms may be different slightly so it could be interesting.

the adult area is so much larger than on the other ships- you will enjoy it

I think you are both correct. It is listed as Alternate Itinerary B .The difference is that in the regular itinerary the order is different (sea day is swapped with Nassau). Regular itinerary sets sail on Sunday while we leave on Tuesday. Yes, I am counting the days!

Yep!

Isn't that funny...I read some complaints about the size of the area. I'll trust you all!

they have Pink-which is a champagne bar,Skyline-which changes the background every night- laid back, 687-like diversions, sports bar with several tv's, evolution-dance bar, and maybe one more. There are also quite a few bars on deck and one in the atrium and one near cove cafe. The only area that seemed small to me was by the adult pool, but everyone has a different perception

Just found this thread today. My family (Me, DW, DS - 12, and DD - 7) are very eagerly awaiting our first Disney Cruise. We decided to "trade-in" our annual WDW trip for a cruise. Like my Disboarders I'm OCD, so I'm feverishly (and foolishly) trying to get as up to speed as possible. I've got 134 days to do so! DBXAZD was nice enough to accept my request for the Private FB page - so I'll have to get my wife to teach me how to use Facebook! Or just get her to do it. We're looking forward to conversing with everyone, meeting everyone, participating in the FE process, etc.

:welcome: aboard! Glad you are joining us! We love cruising almost as much as spending time in the parks...that Disney difference follows you out to sea as well!

That's great to hear. Disney definitely does it right. BTW - I see you are from Northern Virginia. I grew up in Manassas. My Dad still lives there, although I don't get up there much anymore. Looking forward to meeting you.

Welcome!! :welcome:
DH and I love cruising with Disney - in fact DH loves it more than WDW!

my TA said right now there is not 1 room available on our cruise. Those pools will be crowded sailing with a full ship, also long lines for the aquaduck. We stayed onboard at castaway and found the lines then were very short. My parents will be going with us and my mom needs to use a scooter so I'm not sure if we will get off this time either.

There are virtually no southerners going on this cruise from the DIS.
I think I remember a couple but usually there is a lot, especially from Texas.
Well, there will be a lot from Texas- but they will all be my family. :lmao:

are you traveling with a lot of family? We used to, but now my brother and his family can never make it. DCL is great for family groups

I think she means the district area, not the pools. I heard the bars were great but the pool small. Thank goodness for two stops at cc!

Double dipping is the best!! When you leave CC the first stop, you know it's not the end of your trip and you know you are coming back very soon!:yay:

Small world! I live right outside Manassas!!! I live in PWC.

I was reading that the Wonder and Magic ships have deck parties including a Pirates themed party...

Will the dream have a pirates themed party? And what is it exactly?! Really hoping I can dress up as a pirate! :lmao::banana:

yes, there will be a Pirates party on the Dream as well! And you can dress as a pirate if you wish! Plenty of kids and Adults do! If you don't Disney provides everyone with a Bandanna at the pirate-themed dinner. The deck party, held later that night, includes fireworks as well! I've heard they actually have TWO parties for Pirate night on the Dream, but I don't know the details.

Cool!! :thumbsup2 Thanks for the info!!

Hopefully we'll be able to attend..I was on allears last night and looked at the Navigator for the Maiden Voyage, and it looked like the Pirate Party was held at 7:45..we have the late dinner seating unfortunately which starts at like 815 or 830..

Did I read that there are 2 pirate parties to accomodate for dinner and then the fireworks are later after dinner?

I read that too. Also heard that late seating has been running 2-2 ½ hours. That is way too late for me! The first thing I need to do when we board is try to switch to the early dining time.
