DREAM 5-night June 21 2011

I lurked disboards for our 2008 Disneyworld trip & now delurking for our first Disney Cruise.

Great to read all the info & hope to see people on facebook soon.

I would like to participate in Fish Extenders. We would probably only do one treat - is that acceptable?

Traveling with my husband's family. This is a very generous Christmas gift from my in-laws.

My family: DH, DS(9), DD (7), DS (5) - they will be these ages when cruising.

Very exciting.

Hello everyone,

I have lurked on this board for years but never posted until today.

My family and I are going to be on board the Dream for the 6/21/11 cruise:

Me 38
DH 46
DD 8
DS 7
DD 4
DD 4
And a grandmother & great aunt who I am sure would like me to list them at 39 :)

I would like to be part of the Fish Extender group but I am a little worried about whether or not I will be able to get enough stuff to fill them. Is there any way to estimate how many goodies I would need to bring?

Thanks so much for any help.

I pop in here now and again. This is our 2 Double Dip and we are so excited! 5 days is the way to go!! This trip we are sailing with friends :grouphug: I booked dinner at Remy's and a couple of other things yesterday for our trip. My crew is getting excited.

BTW, my kids will be 11princess: 9pirate: and almost 7princess:

I saw some people have made reservations for Palo and Remy. I thought you could not reserve till 90 days out?

Traveling with two other couples and their kids. We are all looking forward to it. This will be my fifth cruise with Disney. I have to say the first cruise was the most exciting. I was in awe of the ship that first time it was the Wonder.

It depends on your status. If you are silver, like me, we book 90 days out. Gold members can book 120 days out.

Just so everyone knows, there is a facebook group for this cruise:

Look for the group "Motley Cruise." Pics & discussions of Fish Extenders which has been quite helpful.

Wow. Just paid off our cruise and went to book Palo. There was NOTHING available on night four and only the early and late times on night five (we took the 8:30 pm slot). I guess everyone had the same idea...rather not do it the last night and rather not miss any of the new restaurant rotations on the first three nights. Then I went to book brunch for the three of us (this will be my daughter's first cruise old enough to eat at Palo) and you could only make reservations for one or two people, not three, so I had to make two separate reservations. I am getting the feeling this ship is going to be crammed to the gills.

Hi everyone! DH and I booked a sneak peek cruise on the dream and just returned TODAY!
It was awesome FUN and I learned alot so I feel prepared for our June cruise with the kids!! I'll be writing a TR for sure but let me know if you have any Q's ... also the dis podcast has a great show review of the ship as well. I listened to it before we left and found it really helpful.

I think the cruise is close to sold out.

Are you a platinum member or conceirge? How did you book so early? I am a silver memebr and can't book until March 23. They may open reservations slowly, to allow more people to book, I know they did this last year on some of the med cruises. I can't imagine that conceirge and platinmum members have booked all of those ressie before silver and gold members even have a shot? Not to mention all of the non castaway members?

We're platinum...and we still got blanked out of the night we wanted even this far out. What I am hoping (and what I think would be fair) is that DCL withholds some times until the other booking windows open so others that have to make their reservations later have a chance. One of the head servers at Palo told us they do keep a certain number of reservation slots out of the online reservation pool. We'll actually try to change ours to the fourth night once we got on there (not to mention ask if my 18 year old daughter can sit with us and not by herself at brunch!) But we'll be happy to at least go...my daughter is so excited about her first time old enough to eat at Palo!

I'm thinking this may be true. We can't book until the 23rd either. We're just shooting for brunch though.

my son will be 15 and always likes to "meet" someone before going to the club- it just makes it easier. If your son would want to text or email before send me a private message.

I have a 14.5 yr old DS - he's cool. I asked him if he wanted to get in touch with other kids his age before the cruise - but he declined saying he'll meet them there. He does follow the facebook page a little. It won't be difficult to spot him - he and my other son will constantly be at the ping pong tables.....

Hi everyone!! Haven't checked in on this thread for a few months, but getting the fever now...........:thumbsup2. We are definitely up for FE's, it is always a cruise highlight. :wizard: Is there a master list?

I have a master list that I'll send out at the beginning of each month with any changes.

In case anyone wants in and hasn't yet signed up:

Yes, I think this is true. Good luck! I am also hoping for at least Palo brunch and/or dinner.:wizard:

unless they have changed something there was only 1 ping pong table and it
was near the basketball-- very windy and hard to play.
