DREAM 5-night June 21 2011

DH and I are booked on this cruise as the first cruise in our b2b on the Dream!!!! We are very excited!!! These cruises will be our 7th and 8th DCL cruise, we've done a 4 day on the Wonder, 2 Eastern Caribbean and 1 Western Caribbean on the Magic, a Panama Canal Crossing on the Magic and we have another Western Caribbean in November. We were supposed to be going on the Baltic Capitals cruise this coming June, but the airfare turned out to be prohibitive and we are also expecting our third grandchild this summer, so we decided to stay closer to home. Our grandchildren have had an alarming habit of being born early!

I look forward to talking to you all!

Welcome Sulley and Va-Nana Tink

Like most upcoming (but distant) cruise threads, this one will may go through bouts of activity and dormancy for periods of time, but I'm sure it will start kicking up a storm when we're several months out.

Glad to have you with us!

Add us to the list! DD (Bob), DW (Deb) and DS (Bryce). We just put down a deposit on this cruise. We'll be celebrating our DS turning 13 on the second day at Castaway Cay. Sadly DD19 won't be joining on this cruise.

We've been on Magic once, Wonder once, and NCL a couple of times. We're looking forward to exploring the new ship, getting back to CC and hopefully seeing Navardo, the Sand Castle master.

Hi add us to the list too! It will be our first cruise EVER so I will be counting on you veteran cruisers to help me with planning and what we need to bring along. Our party is myself, Julie age 40 something and DD, Erin who will be 11 when we sail. I can not tell ou how excited we are!!!

Welcome to the new cruisers! You'll soon be infected with what has almost all of us caught in its grip! But as addictions go, Disney Cruising is not such a bad one. Just expensive!

Welcome to all the cruise add ons.....

indimini, we are in the same boat (pun intended!) Our ds-19 won't be joining us either. He needs to make money for college!

I'll update the cruise roll call when I get back from the doctor's  I think I have strep...counting the days to the dream.

We just got back from our first Disney cruise, a 7 day Western on the Magic. Loved every minute! So we booked the longest cruise available on the Dream. Look forward to meeting you all. It will be me, my husband, and our 2 sons who will be 9 and 4 at the time of the cruise. We did the fish extender gift exchange and my boys loved finding the little treats when we came back to our room. Hope we can do that on this cruise!

Welcome, Janelle

I expect the group will grow steadily as time goes on...should be one heck of a DIS-meet and greet when we're all present and accounted for!

I'm assuming FEs will be in order! I've still got mine packed in plastic from the last cruise....ready to go for summer 2011!

We will also be joining this cruise. We had planned on doing the same cruise this year with the stop at Key West, but figured we would rather wait and board Dream. Not that the family is to disappointed since we are doing the week at WDW.:thumbsup2

It will be me(46),DW(40 something),DD(22),DD(16),and DS(10).

We're in!!! Yes, finally returning to DCL:cloud9:
This will be our 5th DCL. We've done two 3 nights and an Eastern and a double dip Western. :grouphug:
One of our recent cruises was on the Crown Princess......gotta say I loved it just as much as DCL. We had an awesome group. :woohoo: and 9 nights. Adult areas were adult like DCL.
Last cruise was on NCL....it was good, but I don't think we'll cruise it again. There were no adult areas really. Kids in the bars till late and salt water pools. :sad2:
So we've been waiting for one of the new ships and saving those Disney Dollars!!:yay:

Cruise list: Ages of kids will be at the time of cruise. Please correct me if I'm wrong with any info.

Skylynx-Denise DH, DD-18, DS-15
Irish Cowboy
meshellpnc
dbxazd-Robin, DH, DS-11, DD-8
musicgirl-Lorie and Bill
ranidayz- and DH,3 kids, MIL,FIL,BIL, SIL, and their 2 kids

at the time of the cruise - my kids will be 14, 12 and 7.

Do we think we may want to start a private facebook group to connect since this board is very, very public? We did this for my last cruise and it was really good for getting to know one another and putting faces to names.

Hello fellow Dreamers!
This will be our second DCL cruise. The first was in late April 2008 - 4 night on the Wonder, and we can't wait to get back onboard. We were planning a 7-night Eastern, but couldn't pass up the new ship. Wish it were longer, sigh....

DS will be 9 at the time of the cruise. My DH (39) and I (39) will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary on 6/22, and also pre-celebrating our big 4-0 birthdays that will be soon after the cruise.

Didn't really participate much with the DIS group last time, since it was all so new to us, but this looks like it will be fun to pre-plan our trip together as more details on the ship are released in the months to come.

Looking forward to sailing with you!:flower3:

i have to say that I think the cruise meet boards really do add to the excitement of the cruise. on our cruise this past march, we only did one initial meet, but I have to say that the FE exchange really brightened each day -- every day! The kids and DH and I loved coming back to notes and surprises - and we did see people all around the ship from our meet and our online boards.

DIS meets really do enhance the experience, even on a shorter cruise. With thousands of people on the ship, I'm always amazed how many people we bump into here and there that we met at the Dis gathering. Wish DCL did what NCL does...I arranged for our Cruise Critic group meet on the Norwegian Pearl to Alaska last summer. NCL provides (no charge) a private room with refreshments and an officer visit for the meet and greet. Really nice.

We are on this as well, me DH, DD8 and DD2 1/2 at the time we sail. Would be happy to participate in a FE group. DD loved it on our first cruise a few weeks ago.

Our family will be on this sailing (on our very first cruise) and are so excited!

:dance3:

It will be myself, my wife, my daughter (age 6 at the time of sailing), and my son (age 5 at the time of sailing).

We took our first family trip to Disney World in 2009 and are looking forward to experiencing a Disney cruise aboard the Dream.

Not that I have heard. Open to suggestions. I thought maybe,"Once is fun ,but twice is nice." Feel free to reject, but I warn you I'll keep thinking.;)
