I just read through the string again, and I saw that your DD is 17, too. My DD would be open to a meet up with your DD. We were on The Fantasy in May, and must admit, my DD wasn't into the teen club there. She said it was mostly for kids who like to dance. They also had a Zombie dress up night. Fun for some kids, but not her kind of thing. What are your DD's interests?

My DD didn't really enjoy the teen club last time we were on the Dream as well, a Zombie dress up night and all that dancing would be her worst nightmare

She will be 18 in March and is in her last year at High School here in Scotland. She likes being social, but probably in a smaller gathering.

Last time on the Dream, she met up with a girl her own age and they just hung around a few of the social areas on the ship and they just chatted and had a laugh.

Maybe the girls could swap emails or chat on facebook or the like?

I'm looking forward to her being 18 on our cruise following this one (her Graduation cruise in June next year on the Magic in the med) so we will have no problems and she can come to the Adult Clubs with the rest of the group

(ooops my DH was signed in on the DIS, so this hasn't come up with my sign-in Tod & Copper)

Do you think we should encourage the girls to chat before hand or just make sure they all go to the College Meet on the first night straight after dinner?

We're not trying to get rid of DD, but it is nice for them to have their own company on holiday and get away from the Parents from time to time

Hi All,
Any single parents/aunts/uncles/grandparents/"third wheels" who are in a solo situation for a Palo or Remy reservation? In my case, I have a 17 year old DD, who just misses the minimum age requirement for the upscale restaurants. This will be our fourth cruise, and I have yet to try one of them out. She is prodding me to go for it, so I may get brave and try for a solo Palo brunch. Just curious though - anyone interested in teaming up for a dinner reservation? I think it would be too long of a dining experience to go solo for dinner.

Any single parents/aunts/uncles/grandparents/"third wheels" who are in a solo situation for a Palo or Remy reservation? In my case, I have a 17 year old DD, who just misses the minimum age requirement for the upscale restaurants. This will be our fourth cruise, and I have yet to try one of them out. She is prodding me to go for it, so I may get brave and try for a solo Palo brunch. Just curious though - anyone interested in teaming up for a dinner reservation? Count on us for palo brunch. We are trying for 27th as we don't want to do the Xmas day brunch (sea day) and exclude Rachel. I'll give you a shout next week, when I get to my booking window open on 9th and see what I can get it's getting so close, I get hyper near my excursion/palo/spa booking window with the anticipation
