Been forever since I've been on here so thought I'd try to catch up. Just want to say to everyone. DH and I will be on this cruise. Not planning any excursions, Nassau holds no attraction for us, rather be on the ship and hopefully soak up some sun, enjoy the rest at any rate. I'm signed up for CC5K and saw that awesome medal. Running marathon prior - YIKES! Have brunch and dinner reserved at Palo We are 50 somethings traveling alone (first time I think actually!) and would love to share a meal table (first seating) if anyone would like to link. After this cruise I think we are Platinum

Hubby and I just made our final payment on the cruise now the excitement is building even more! We are both doing the castaway challenge after the 5K and half marathon! It's just the two of us but we would love to join in on the FE sounds like fun! This is our first DCL cruise but we have been on most all of the other cruise lines can wait to try out Disney. We are also doing the Wine & Dine half marathon, anyone else here joining us? 18 days and countingfor that one

My hubby, my sister, and I are doing Wine & Dine also! We're doing a 15K as our last long training run this Sunday. It's getting close!

Yes...we too are doing the Wine and Dine. That's my birthday weekend, and it just seems the most perfect way to celebrate!

GTY is when people buy a room type and not a specific room and then will be given the room number closer to the cruise. I think

DH= disney husband DW= disney wife

DH and DW can also mean "dear husband/wife" and "darling husband/wife". DD and DS are daughter and son. FIL, MIL, DIL, SIL are "father/mother/daughter/son in law".

Got a call from run Disney asking if we were still doing cruise, DCL had no record of reservation. Apparently DCL never sent reservation to our travel agent, final payment went by so they cancelled reservation. Now rebooked but have a GTY room. Will post room for FE list when we get assigned.

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread.

Group 3 fish extender group. I need to let you all know that the three birdie23 rooms need to be taken off the list. My mom has been in the hospital and is going to have to have surgery so we're going to have to postpone our trip. I hope y'all have a wonderful cruise!

glad you were able to get in. How bizarre. You obviously booked it with the rundisney code (the TA called that in? you did? there was no code field to do it online, so calling had to happen), I'm assuming you got email confirmation etc etc. How did it not get paid in full or sent to the TA? Crazy!

although we have participated in the FE exchange previously, we will not be doing so this cruise :'( We're just on too tight of a budget at the moment-and that's OK.
But...I still want to bring my FE to hang-since it really helps to find your room at the end of a long night when you're...um..."tired"
However...when we have traveled with our kids previously, we have had 2 rooms since we are a family of 5. It usually works out cheaper to have an inside room across the hall from our verandah room for the kids. But, since our oldest will not be with us this cruise, we will all be in 1 room. I have 2 FE's...1 with mine and DH name...1 with kids names. But, the one with kids names (well, really nicknames-I didn't want their real names on there for security reasons) has all 3 and only 2 are going with us. Can't hang 2 on the same fish...and 5th person not traveling. Can't afford new FE (well, not and be able to do other things we want to do-priorities, you know)...what to do, what to do????
Still trying to decide what to do. Oh...the problems we Disboard people have

Hey all! We are cruising for the first time, Myself, DH, kiddos 8&10. We are all running the CCC and are so excited! We would just found out about the Fish Extender thing and would Love to join! How do we do this? We are on Deck 8. So psyched to be sailing with so many of the DIS boards crew!
