Drama, Please End...Fun, Please Begin...A Sept TR Updated 10/31

Hello everyone. I am hoping to start a trip report, just don't know where to start. I know Sophia can give me ideas, and if anyone else wants to pass ideas on, I will welcome them:yay:

There really is no "right way" to do one. Just do it the way you are most comfortable. It always helps to look at a few other trip reports if you want some ideas.

I'll be bold and tell you can look at mine (it's linked in my signature).

Hi, Chuck and Mary. :goodvibes

:wave2::wave2::wave2::wave2:

Hello everyone. I am hoping to start a trip report, just don't know where to start. I know Sophia can give me ideas, and if anyone else wants to pass ideas on, I will welcome them:yay:

Mary, I think you should start a TR. I will see if I can find FAQ's or something that will help you get started from a technical standpoint...I think that's what you're asking, right? ;)

It was nice to see you and Chuck last night. We had a great time!! We have to do it again!

We got back to WL and mom, my sister and I decided to do laundry. Can there be much drama in laundry? Not really. You go, you wash, dry and you're done...right? Well, normally...yes.

We checked out the laundry room at WL. What a disappointment. There were 6 washing machines and 10 dryers. That's it! At CSR last year there were TONS of both and it was fairly easy to do your laundry. We went to check it out and there were people hovering around both the washers and the dryers. This isn't gonna be easy. :rolleyes1 We had a limited time before our ADR's and we had MNSSHP that night so I was determined to get it done.

We went upstairs and collected our laundry. I got those Purex all in one thingys before we left to try and make it easier. Joe carried ours down and when we got there, mom and my sister were already there. We decided that since we had a limited number of machines open, we'd combine our whites. HUGE mistake.....are these your gotchies or mine? :lmao:

Anyway, the people that were hovering when we came down the first time were back. Rut-row....were they gonna use all of the remaining open dryers? Yep, they did. Let's cross our fingers that they would be back to take their stuff out.

We loaded up the 6 washers...yep, we hogged up all open washers. :rolleyes1 It said that the wash load was 32 minutes. Okay, well, let's go and come back. Nope, mom wanted to be with her laundry. We decided that we'd go to Roaring Forks. :scared1: My sister and I shared a salad which wasn't really too bad but man, the selection ther really sucks bad!

After we ate we went back to the laundry room. There was no way 32 minutes went by but guess what? The machines had already stopped! Yikes, glad we went to check before someone emptied them for us.

We were lucky that the people did come back for their clothes so we got to dry ours. At 2 bucks a load to wash, and 2 bucks a load to dry, we were hoping that we could get it done with one tumble of each dryer. Nope, no chance.

We finished our laundry and lugged it back to our rooms. All in all....no laundry drama! Yay, maybe our trip was looking up!!

We still had a bit of time before our ADR at WCC. I am so glad that I made our ADR in WL before MNSSHP.

We checked in, got our buzzer, which would later be known as the "dingus that they give you at Longhorns" and waited for our table. We were seated rather quickly, which was nice since our ADR was at 5:20 and I really wanted to get to WL before 7.

Joe got the milkshake

My brother was brave enough to ask for a refill on his Coke...YES, COKE, not diet....can you imagine how many calories this thing contained?

Disney2010Sony668.jpg

While we were waiting for our food, a dad came in with his daughter dressed for MNSSHP. Awesome costumes! He was Fred Flintstone and she was Pebbles. So cute. :goodvibes

I can't really remember who had what, but here are some of the dishes.

My nephew really wanted ketchup but after hearing WE NEED KEEETTCCHHUUUUPPPPP a zillion times, he decided he'd go without it. :lmao:

All in all, I enjoyed WCC, but you have to be in the mood for the noise. It can be overwhelming.

We finished our meal and mom went back to the room. She decided not to go to MNSSHP this year and based on how the trip was going, that was probably a good decision.

We headed for the boat dock and it was pretty crowded. There were quite a few people dressed up. There was no way I'd dress in a costume given the heat of this trip.

We arrived at MK at after 7. There was a mass exit of those not attending the party. We grabbed our wrist bands and treat bags and headed in.

We were meeting Stephanie, Allyn and Lilian (Charlfours) and their family in front of HoP for the first parade. We headed over that way when my brother spotted Tiana's Garden.

Disney2010754.jpg

I was so happy because I wanted to meet her so BAD! She had just left and would not be back for 20 minutes. We were first in line so I knew that we'd make it for the parade.

Our interaction with Tiana and Naveen was awesome. I was impressed with the amount of time they spent with us, given the line of people behind us. Tiana asked us where we were from, what kind of food we have in Ohio and then wanted us to describe a pierogi to her. :flower3:

After meeting Tiana and Naveen, we headed over to HoP. We were lucky to find a spot right smack dab near the doors of HoP so we got a great blast of AC. Yay, turning out to be no drama here either....except, we couldn't find Stephanie! We were texting back and forth but we didn't end up getting to see the parade together. I was so bummed out because I was really looking forward to seeing them and giving Lilian her birthday surprise that we had for her.

About 5 minutes before the parade started we got squeezed out of half of our space. It was terrible. This mother decides to put her son in front of me which normally, I don't care. This kid decided that this would be the perfect time to whip out his light saber!!! Yep, craptastic pictures...here we come. There was absolutely no where to move either since we had literally been squeezed together like sardines.

We waited for the headless horseman and Joe was videotaping the parade. I knew I'd get a craptastic shot of him, if I even got a shot at all. Very different this year. Last year there was galloping (spelling) and such and this year it was like he was just...welll...trotting at best. I seem to remember the horse last year being black, but this one was brown.

Here are the pictures I did manage to get...they are not the greatest though.

Check out my spectacular headless horseman shot.....

ready......................

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Is that not the most lame shot you've ever seen or what?

Continued on next post.............

After the parade I sent Stephanie a text and we managed to be able to meet up and say hi! I gave Lilian her gift and got the chance to chat with Stephanie for a few minutes. I am so mad though because the picture that was taken with my camera did not turn out at all. It is all black...100%. The only way I know that it's the picture of us is because of the sequence. I was so mad when I saw that. :sad1::sad1:

Stephanie and I have one thing in common for sure....drama! You should check out her TR (Charlfours)!

I was happy though that we had a chance to meet and yesterday, I got the sweetest card in the mail from Lilian. She is a doll! :cutie:

After we said our good-bye's, we were trying to determine if we were going to get a spot for the parade or ride a few things and then go over to Casey's. It's tradition for us to go to Casey's, get a dog, and settle in for the parade.

My sister and I spotted a line to meet the seven dwarfs. It looked to be pretty short so we hopped in line. The guys all went on to ride something and then head over to Casey's.

My sister and I get to the head of the line...only 1 person in front of us and guess what? It was break time for them! Ugh, while I totally understand that they can't stay out in those costumes for a long time, I wish the timing was better.

Needless to say, my sister and I missed Hallowishes. I was counting on Joe to have taken pictures, etc. I asked him and he said that there was a light on where they were that totally messed up the camera setting. I asked if they had gotten Casey's...nope, the line was a mile long. What the heck? Was the entire night going to be a disaster like this? No Hallowishes...not even pictures...no Snow White with the 7 dudes, no Casey's.......

Disney2010PhotopassII022.jpg

After we met the dudes, we sent Joe a text and started walking to where they were...then we passed Peter Pan...with NO WAIT! Really? No wait? Walk on? Yep, we did it. We rode, even though we should have gone to meet the guys.

We met the guys at PotC and rode that before heading over to BTMRR. I love, love, love that ride, especially in the dark.

After BTMRR, it was nearly time for the party to end. I basically did not get a chance to do much. I felt like Charlie Brown when he went trick or treating. I had 2 Dum Dum suckers and 2 Laffy Taffy's. That was it.

The boys wanted Dole Whips so we stopped for them. Please don't diss me but I hate those things. They are totally gross. I tried to like them. I tried to force myself to like them...but I hate them.

There was no line at Casey's so we went in. We promised mom we'd bring her one back, although I didn't see her eating a hotdog at midnight. :sad2:

I had told Soopafly that I would check into the MNSSHP framed pin price for him so we walked through the Emporium to check it out. All I remember was it was super expensive. I want to say around $200 bucks or between $150 and 200. Can't remember now. Stupid me didn't think to take a picture of what the set looked like and of course, they only had it out during the party.

Since we had parked the cars that morning at MK, we made our way to the monorail and it was just seconds before the cattle came-a-rushin' that way. We actually had our own car. During our trip to the TTC we decided that we'd change up our itinerary for the next day. We were going to go off site for breakfast, then do some shopping and then who knows what. I think we were all tired of seeing our plans go to he** in a handbasket.

Disney, Day 5 - Craptastic Stuff/Drama = No early boat to MK; scary Monorail ride to MK; no picture with Stephanie (Charlfours); no Hallowishes pictures; craptastic Boo to You pictures; not getting to see much of MNSSHP

Disney, Day 3 - Fun Stuff = Meeting Chuck and Mary and Stephanie, Allyn and Lilian.

Finally all caught up. I feel so bad that you had so much drama but drama at Disney is better than anywhere else in the world.

Love the pic of you and your sister with the seven dwarves, too cute.

Sophia, it just seems to be one thing after another. How can WL have less washers/dryers than a moderate? I do love the picture of your sister and you with the Seven Dwarfs (that was one of our favorite moments from the MNSSHP). I don't mind litlte ones sitting in front of me as I know it is hard for them to see; but when a parent doesn't ask or just squeezes in them and makes it difficult for you to take pictures, is just wrong.

We headed over that way when my brother spotted Tiana's Garden.

I was so happy because I wanted to meet her so BAD! She had just left and would not be back for 20 minutes. We were first in line so I knew that we'd make it for the parade.

I found it hysterical how adamant you were about meeting her as well as the seven dwarves. You are such an overgrown kid..lol.

Our interaction with Tiana and Naveen was awesome. I was impressed with the amount of time they spent with us, given the line of people behind us. Tiana asked us where we were from, what kind of food we have in Ohio and then wanted us to describe a pierogi to her. :flower3:

Joe and Matt told me that the prince was having trouble saying "Matt". The back and forth between him and the princess was funny. I could hear that from where I was sitting.

regarding the food at WCC. The skillet looking thing is what I ordered. It's basically an "all you can eat". You get pulled pork, ribs, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes (which I didn't touch..cause I don't like them), baked beans, chicken and something else I don't remember. You didn't even have to finish the skillet. They would just bring out more of what you liked which was cool. I still think if we weren't pressed for time I could have finished that soda refill.

Great update-- I love the picture of you and the dwarfs! Sorry you didn't get to fully enjoy the party-- I would have been so upset about the little boy and the light sabre! Some parents have no sense!

Oh gosh, Sophia ........ it really looks like the drama doesn't stop!

So sorry you weren't able to fully enjoy the party. I completely get the feeling of the child in front of you with the lightsaber. One day at the MK we walked in right before the parade was about to start, so we got a good spot and then a father asks if his girls could stand in front of me - no problem - the problem started when he told them to "WAVE" - made for a fun bunch of pics with hands in it! :sad2:

But I LOVE the photos of Tiana and the seven dwarfs and don't worry - whenever we get in line for a character, they "need to take a break" too. It's another running gag between us that once it is our turn they are in need for "spraycheese". :rotfl2:

Can't wait to read more - love your decision of changing plans - sounds like me!

Great update!

You should see my pic of the headless horseman...I'm gonna post it on my TR...trust me you will laugh your head off...no pun intended:lmao:

I knew you had some of the drama you mentioned but man oh man you had more than your share,....not fair:confused3 I have to tell you though, we encountered much of the same....at one point I looked at Jasmine and said I just wanna sit down right here and cry I was so mad....and I felt that was better than smackin someone....I think I would have enjoyed that more though.......

I am loving your TR...can't wait for more!!!!

Sophia, it was nice to see you and Joe again. We did pick a good resturant too. Joe, thanks for the insite on your back, hopefully Chuck will beable to ride the coasters with you next year :yay:

:wave2::wave2::wave2::wave2:

Thanks Elizabeth. You are so right...drama at Disney beats drama at home. ;)

I thought it was so strange that the laudry facility at WL was less than half the size of CSR. :confused3

I think it was worth it to wait to meet the Seven Dwarfs, but our timing was terrible. We missed so much of the party.

I really don't mind it when people put their children in front of me. The light saber thing though was a different story.

Joe and Matt told me that the prince was having trouble saying "Matt". The back and forth between him and the princess was funny. I could hear that from where I was sitting.

I really did want to meet Tiana. Yes, Naveen did have quite the difficult time saying Matt. It was pretty funny.

The pop refill was outrageous. It would take me three days to drink that much!

Great update-- I love the picture of you and the dwarfs! Sorry you didn't get to fully enjoy the party-- I would have been so upset about the little boy and the light sabre! Some parents have no sense!

We ran into a lot of parents with little or no sense this trip. ;);)

Oh gosh, Sophia ........ it really looks like the drama doesn't stop!

Karin, sometimes I wonder what people are thinking. We try and be nice and courteous to others and what thanks do we get.....crappy pictures. :lmao::lmao:

I think they see the "adults only" parties and figure that would be the best time for a break. Happens to me a lot.

I don't think we followed one touring plan the entire trip. :rolleyes1

Great update!

I can't wait to see your pictures! I'm loving your report so far.

I don't blame you for wanting to cry. During around our second day Joe looked at me and said "do you know what I really want to see right now?" I asked hinm what. He said "our living room." :lmao:

Sophia, it was nice to see you and Joe again. We did pick a good resturant too. Joe, thanks for the insite on your back, hopefully Chuck will beable to ride the coasters with you next year :yay:

Mary, we will be thinking about Chuck this week when he has his surgery. Please keep me posted on how he is doing.

It was nice to see you both again yesterday.
