Normally we head to Adventureland, but this time we went to Tomorrowland instead.

Disney2010440.jpg

We rode Buzz, and I maxed out the score...which made me happy. I didn't have the point and shoot camera so I couldn't take a picture of my score. Last year when I maxed out, Joe did too. This year, he didn't, but don't worry, he got me back later.

We also rode the TTA, which was nice. I love riding the TTA at night.

From there it was time to head to to our ressie for the Dessert Party. We were seated at a table in the front, closes to where I wanted to be for pictures. We went to the buffet and got our goodies. I didn't take the camera with me though because I had set it up for Wishes and didn't want to mess with the settings.

Jenn remembers last year when they cleaned the tables before I could get my pixie dust. This year, I did that first and got the little name tag off of the desk. Pixie dust this year is gold castles instead of the Mickey heads. :rolleyes1

The desserts were not as good as last year. The chocolate covered strawberries were mushy. There was this apricot thing which was totally disgusting and I love apricots. I got the usual stuff...rice krispy treats, brownies, etc. Nothing spectacular. Honestly, I paid for the view for Wishes.

I got a few picture of the parade, but we were pretty far away. I have to be honest...I love Spectro and I didn't really have a desire to see the new parade. We actually didn't see it at all during our trip except for these pictures from the viewing spot for the Dessert Party.

Now comes the good part..........Wishes. Although I have yet to get a picture of Tink, Joe captured the entire thing on the flip video. :goodvibes

Disney, Day 4 - Craptastic Stuff/Drama = Starring Rolls sucking up nearly half of our snack credits!

Disney, Day 3 - Fun Stuff = Just about everything else.

Things were starting to look up..........maybe. ;)

So glad you liked Ohana :) How long did you have to wait once you got your pager?

I too wonder if that lady and her husband were able to get TS throughout their trip. I am sure some of the restaurants they would have, but popular ones like Ohana, Le Cellier etc I doubt.

Loving the Wishes pics, bit worried about the desserts though, were they really that bad?

I really did like Ohana. :goodvibes We didn't wait long at all. Given the huge line, I thought with a party of 6 that we'd be there forever. I think we waited around 10 minutes at most.

It's not that the desserts were bad...in fact, the fruit was excellent and so were the brownies. I guess I just expected it to be more like last year. :confused3 I know that you will enjoy it.

I'm so excited for you guys! Looking forward to your texts and such while you are on your trip!!

Ohana's bread pudding is bar none my favorite dessert in WDW. Possibly the world.
That's sad to hear that the food at the dessert party wasn't great. We were considering it for next year. Your photos are GORGEOUS, though! What a view!
By the way, did they have coffee at the DP? Do you know what beverages they had? Thanks!

Great new update, Sophia!

Ohana is fun and the food is quite good, but the breadpudding - you nearly had me licking my screen - I want some - NOW! :rotfl2:

My take on the dessert party is the same as yours - you pay for the view of Wishes. We enjoyed the desserts, some of them were real good - but the most exciting thing about the party is the view of Wishes.
You did NOT see MSEP?????????????? :scared1: You should have given it a try. But we hope it will be around for some more time, so maybe you'll get a chance to see it in the end! ;) :lmao:

Have a safe trip to Washington tomorrow and ......... hurry back, now that I am up to date with your trip report I cannot wait to read more! :goodvibes

Thats not too bad a wait time :)

Maybe the heat didn't help either with the desserts as they all need to be kept chilled don't they :)

I think I will be Tweeting from when we get up to when we get the airport lol, hopefully more excitedness will kick in though as I am worried there is something wrong with me not being super excited :(

I can't believe I just now found your TR!! I am truly enjoying reading it (in spite of the problems you've been encountering!). I can't believe those people standing up in front of everyone at Fantasmic! I swear some people have no concept of being polite in public (one pet peeve I have is people sitting up in front of children in the movie theater. I always sit low in my seat so I'm not blocking the people behind me).

I loved your pic so much of the lamp post and Mickey halloween decorations I stole it for my computer background - hope you don't care!!

This is a great TR! I'm LOVING  all your pics! We are going in 52 days, I wonder if they are doing the dessert party then? Just for LOCATION!

You are NOT having good luck with people sitting in front of you - first F! and then BaTB!

Great Wishes pics - I was humming the theme music as I looked at them! So, I'm curious? What camera settings do you use for that, and which lens? I haven't had good luck with fireworks.

Glad you enjoyed your dinner at O'Hana. Great Poly pics! Also really liked your WIshes pics. I also really like Spectro!

I DO remember that from last year :) glad you were able to get your name tag as well though! No pic of tink again?? whatup with that? hahaha, remember the hour we spent trying to figure out where in the heck she came from..it will haunt me forever!:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Glad you liked Ohana.. maybe we should go there next year....

Hi Sophia!! I questioned if I would do a TR too but I'm so glad you are too. It was great meeting you!! I'm still working through my photos but I will post the one we took if that's okay with you when I get there.

I have not read it all yet but I hope to this weekend. I just wanted to say hi!!

Great update! I am sorry the dessert party wasn't as wonderful as last year. I almost booked it but then decided not to. Now I am glad I didn't! I think I would seriously consider it if I were going during a busy time of the year, though.

I still haven't seen Wishes and I have been to WDW twice! I finally caught IllumiNations, though. I hope I can see wishes and the light parade (Spectro or MSEP) in March! Your pictures of wishes are great!

Your food at Ohanas looks so good. I have only ever had their breakfast. I think I really need to try out their dinner one year.

Your pics of wishes were awesome. I cant wait to see that in a few days :cool1:

You had asked if I ever saw BATB? Did u mean the show or the movie? The answer to both is No. But I would like to someday

It still freaks me out when I think about that storm. :scared1:

Liesa, I can't wait to read about your MK experience in your TR. I was wondering what was happening at the other parks and timing wise, it was just about the time that Wishes would have started, if I remember correctly...or was it a little later?

You must have been at MK on the 12th. We were eating dinner at Tony's Town Square when the storm hit. Because of the heavy rain we stayed and had some coffee after dinner, so when we left it was just a drizzle.

Well, I don't want to spill too many beans, but it was a rather exciting night, for sure!! We had our very own drama over at MK- and Wishes... , but that's getting WAYYYYY ahead of myself in this tale I have to tell. :goodvibes

They had fountain soft drinks, iced tea (sweet and non), water and coffee.

Our CM took our drink order. My brother decided to try a lapu lapu which then proceeded to engage my mother in a lecture and grilling him on how it wasn't healthy to drink.

Disney2010407.jpg

Ah yes..that drink was tasty. Props to Joe to suggest eating the pineapple after consuming the drink.

The brought out our bread and all I can say is OMG, that stuff is amazing!!!!!!

That was the pineapple bread right? Was really tasty. I didn't think it even needed butter. I don't remember if you told me you know how to make that stuff but if you do I may add it to my list of demands before my next visit home :P

Joe liked it!

Disney2010414.jpg

Aww..you forgot the story about the spoon. The CM brought out a bunch of spoons and when she handed them out she gave Joe the baby spoon. He was like "you trying to tell me something"? and she started laughing and said she brought it by mistake. CM was really nice.

Also word of advice if you are eating dinner there. Towards the end they bring out these hot towels so you can clean up from the "Meat-a-palooza". While they do call them 'hot" towels...molten hot is a better term. Let them cool down a second before use kids. Don't be like me and grab one like you would a dinner roll.

I love it as well. :goodvibes

I see that my brother has responded to the coffee question below. :wizard:

Hi Karin, I wish I could make an ADR just for the bread pudding.

I didn't mind paying for the Wishes view. :wizard: It is much more relaxing to view it without people all over the place. I felt like I had more personal space so to speak.

I saw MSEP back in the 1970's. I am a Spectro girl and I was quite bummed that I didn't get to see it this year. If they have MSEP next time we go, I am sure that I will make it a point to see it.

I got back last night from DC so I will be updating my TR tonight and catching up on my subscribed threads. I feel so far behind!

Thats not too bad a wait time :)

Hi Stef, I know that you are asleep at the Poly right at this moment! I'm so jealous.

Hi and :welcome: to my TR. It was amazing the amount of rudeness this year.

I'm glad you liked the picture. :goodvibes

Thanks for reading.

Hi and :welcome: to my TR.

I don't know how long they're doing the Dessert Party this year. It is well worth it just for the locaton if you ask me!

You are going at a great time though. The weather will be so nice!

You are NOT having good luck with people sitting in front of you - first F! and then BaTB!

Great Wishes pics - I was humming the theme music as I looked at them! So, I'm curious? What camera settings do you use for that, and which lens? I haven't had good luck with fireworks.

Hi! We had terrible luck with people sitting in front of us this year.

Believe it or not, a CM set my camera up for me last year and I just haven't messed with it when I use that particular setting. :rolleyes1 I will check it out and PM you with the details.

Glad you enjoyed your dinner at O'Hana. Great Poly pics! Also really liked your WIshes pics. I also really like Spectro!

I really missed Spectro this year. :guilty:

I am so glad that we tried Ohana for dinner this trip.

I DO remember that from last year :) glad you were able to get your name tag as well though! No pic of tink again?? whatup with that? hahaha, remember the hour we spent trying to figure out where in the heck she came from..it will haunt me forever!:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Ugh, Tink will be the death of me and getting that shot. I never want to mess with the camera, but Joe got an excellent video of her.

After spending an hr last year figuring it out, I was prepared this year, but STILL missed the dang shot!!!!!!

Hi Sophia!! I questioned if I would do a TR too but I'm so glad you are too. It was great meeting you!! I'm still working through my photos but I will post the one we took if that's okay with you when I get there.

I have not read it all yet but I hope to this weekend. I just wanted to say hi!!

I am going to pop over to your TR and sub! I can't wait to read about your trip!!

It was nice meeting you too. I wish we could have spent more time together.

I can't wait to see how our picture turned out!

Glad you're here!

Oh, you have to see Wishes!!! It's awesome. If you ever go during a busy time of the year and they still have the party, I'd book it.

Glad you like the pictures.

Your food at Ohanas looks so good. I have only ever had their breakfast. I think I really need to try out their dinner one year.

I'm glad we tried Ohana dinner. I love the breakfast there too.

I hope you do get to see BATB some day. I just love it!!

I hope that you have a Magical Trip and I can't wait to hear all about it.

Well, I don't want to spill too many beans, but it was a rather exciting night, for sure!! We had our very own drama over at MK- and Wishes... , but that's getting WAYYYYY ahead of myself in this tale I have to tell. :goodvibes

I can't wait to catch up on your TR. I think there was drama all over the place this year!

Ah yes..that drink was tasty. Props to Joe to suggest eating the pineapple after consuming the drink.

Crap, I did forget the story about the spoon! I didn't have my notes when I wrote the last installment!!!
