LOL its a boat race. My Mom is one of the racers! The Villages in Florida has a couple teams and she's on one. I never knew what it was until she joined a year or two ago either

Thanks for posting those links. I didn't know they had one at WDW, but I'm glad they do. My elder DD paddled with a dragon boat team out of Seattle for several years, and they travelled to events all over North America. These boats are not easy to race with! They're much heavier than a canoe and require a great fitness level from the participants. I rowed with a womens 8 team in my youth, and we have a wonderful time now watching both rowing and paddling events.

Dragon Boat races are SO much fun-to race and to watch! I joined the Kinser Women's team when I was in Japan and did that for 3 years. I would love to join a group here!
