I go to Dr. Phillips High School, and today Students received a reward for doing well on the Florida State Standardized test: a free ticket to Universal Studios on February 18. There will be 1,024 teenage students occupying the park that day. You might want to be wary for obnoxious teens and long waits that day.:crowded:

Congratulations.......hope you all have a wonderful time :thumbsup2

After encountering Brazillian tour groups for the first time last year, your High School group sounds like a breeze.

Have fun :)

Congrats to you and your classmates! :cool1:

The 18th is President's Day...it will already be busy but I'll be working that day so I won't be there. :thumbsup2

I'm sure you'll have a great time!
:teeth:

Congratulations, we'll see you there! Thanks for the head's up - will y'all be in any specific shirts or anything?

I went to DP too :) The ticket is only good for one day? That's strange. When I got my free tickets they were good for a whole year. Ah well, have fun!

Congratulations. I am happy for you and your school but a little bummed for us since that is suppose to be our first day ever going to this park. Enjoy your reward though!

Have fun! :) I'm also a former DP graduate. It does seem strange that they're making you guys go on just one day. I know lots of my friends saved their tickets back in the day.

With Dr.Phillips high school literally across the street from Universal I don't know if I would have ever graduated from high school if I went to your school,I would have been staring out a window all day with visions of riding Mummy all day in the singles line or being shot into the air on Dr.Doom,no way would I function correctly being that close to the parks, good job on your part!!!

Trust me, it was very distracting at times! I remember sitting in math classes and hearing people scream on the Hulk and Dueling Dragons. And since we have two stories, we had a pretty good view of the Hogwarts castle from our school...always tempting us.

Walking across campus (outside) to a class and watching the trains go down the drop on Dueling Dragons was a stab through the heart :sad2:

I only skipped once to go to the parks though! On senior skip day :)

Go Panthers!

DP class of '96 here!

Luckily, that was before IOA opened and all of those big rollercoasters to tempt students, although I did visit the campus a few years ago, seeing Dueling Dragons DIRECTLY across the street....that could be the only place in the world with a high school directly across from rollercoasters
