Does Anyone know where you can find (buy) Dr. Pepper in the World. We are trying to decide if we need to stop at Publix and stock up before we hit the property.

Thanks,

Mike

No Dr Pepper- only Coke products. You should make a grocery store run if you want any during your trip.

Thanks for the help. Does Publix have Dr. Pepper? I did not see any Dr. Pepper Products in their weekly flyer.

Last time I was there we stopped at Publix and I bought the Dr. Pepper in the little 1/2 cans. I love those. I never finish a whole can of pop.

The gas station on property may have it.

We shipped down 2 - 12 packs for our last vacation in december. WL couldn't find the package and sent someone to the store to replace it. Then they found it and told us to keep them all. So we had 4 -12 packs in all.

It was great to come back to our room after a long day at the parks and have our favorite soda cold and ready to drink.

WL really impressed me on that one. They ROCK. :woohoo:

That is so weird, here, Dr. Pepper is a Coke product

We are going to be taking a Town Car (Suburban) from the airport and we will now stop offsite to pick up the liquid essentials. I still find it funny that Coke owns the Distribution rights to Dr. Pepper (except for a couple of distributors in Texas that still make DP with real Imperial Cane Sugar) and it is not offered in the Parks. Oh well.

It actually doesn't own them everywhere. Some places, including central Florida apparently, Dr. Pepper is distributed by Pepsi. You can usually tell who has the rights in the area you're in if you can find Mr. Pibb in the stores, since that's Coke's answer to Dr. Pepper when Pepsi is selling it.

wow,

I'm pretty sure Dr Pepper is a Coke product in the UK, cause my University refuses to sell it. (My Uni has an ethical issue with Coke products, so we don't sell them on campus, we have Virgin Cola instead)

I will have to look into that, maybe buy myself a bottle of it :P

Shopping list so far:

Kinder Egg
Dr Pepper
Pie

The Dublin, TX Dr. Pepper plant here in Texas makes DP from origional formula. You can get it all through Central Texas as far east as Houston.

We will either ship a case to a CM friend of ours or buy some regular DP at the store after we land. We have some time before our trip in late July. Thanks for all the input.

Is there a big difference in taste from the Dublin Dr Pepper formula vs the other plants?

We order from Dublin from time to time (yes, to ship to Atlanta; the cost of the cans isn't all that bad but the shipping via fed ex is ... well we only do that once in a while. ) In my, and my husband's, opinion, there is indeed a big difference. The biggest difference is the fact that they use cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. Makes quite a difference in the flavor, though it's kind of hard to explain the difference. I can't think of a good 'it tastes more like (x)' that would describe it. It's good though. :drinking1

For me the taste is night and day. The best comparison I can make is the difference between sweet tea with Sweet and Low or Real Sugar. I think the taste is much better. We can get Mexican Coca cola in Texas witrh real sugar, and it is called Coca Cola and not Coke Classic on the bottle.

Here is the link for real thing:
