Lets see, I think I have 4 Epcot must do/never dones. SOAT, Tron (whatever it's called), Maelstrom, and....hear Voices of Liberty (which I know I can count on you for).

we love captain EO, growing up we would end our night watching it over and over, we would run around and make it for the next show, prob. 4-5 times a night, we also loved the kodak movie before it.

that is a memory that our family will always love.

i was able to score a copy of the DVD of that show on ebay widescreen and regular version for my dad for his birthday.

he is going to love it.

you can see i am only half way through your TR. GREAT descriptions and definitely have given me a few things to factor in for our trip. I just LOVE these pics from 1900 Park Fare. We will be doing dinner here and now I want to make sure DD can squeeze into her Cinderella dress. and the menu...yummmmm nearly dinner here but i can't pull myself off the computer to make it.

It was some really great character interaction to be sure. I know not everyone has gotten to see the dance, I'm so glad they danced while we were there, it was a lovely little surprise and made me quite misty.

Whew. I was about to call a major foul on passing the champagne/slushie stand in France when you redeemed yourself and returned. That was a close call. I can assure you that we shall not be passing the stand by in May. No matter how many times we may walk by.

It would have been a major party foul. I asked Jeff if he wanted one as I was heading out to get our lunch and his eyes lit up. It was so hot out though they melted really quickly and were a bit soupy by the time I got to Morocco, which isn't that far!

I think it's a day 1 stop as far as I'm concerned! Which reminds me that I'm now confused on what times everyone actually gets in lol.

I always forget about France as a snack/lunch option. I heard they are doing a renovation on the bakery to improve the flow of customers through the lines. Putting that baguette on my list as is the cheese plate. I love sitting back in the area behind the perfume shop. Always so quiet and sometimes you see Princess Aurora coming out.

Capt Eo in May after a few WS drinks sounds like a plan!!

Hurray for contagious contentment. May we all encounter more of that in our trips!

I can see where they could use some line improvement, there isn't much space there at all! As long as it's not closed while we are there. I'd love to try the cheese plate...and the quiche...and and and...another tart1

Sitting outside would be lovely and should be doable in May.

Wait, WHAT!?! You have never been on Living with the Land? It is a great attraction- pleasant boatride and REAL plants.

Nope, never. Can you believe it? There is SO much I've never done though I must say we did knock a lot of things off of the list on this trip. 4 already on this day and it's only lunch time!

When we were in the queue for Sum of All Thrills, the CM working the line said they don't even have the attraction listed on the park map because it has such a low capacity and the lines are long enough through word of mouth.

It's in Innoventions East, the building closest to Mission Space and Ellen's Energy Adventure. But perhaps you know that already.

Well, I know it now. Of course I've never been on Ellen's Energy Adventure either!

Thanks for the photos!!! Especially of the food & drink. I love the food at Tangierine Cafe. The boys got the baguette sandwiches on the last day of our trip. We did takeout from Morocco and France, but we didn't have the choice of everything in the case. They wouldn't sell us the creme brulee- it was too hot and they wouldn't let us have it unless we were going to eat it there.

No brulee for you!

Interesting, I didn't try to order the creme brulee so who knows if they would have stopped us. We did get our food on trays, not asking to have it packed to go though, so they likely thought we were eating "there". I figured next door was close enough to just take the trays with us.

I don't remember them offering to heat up the sandwiches in France! I'll have to make sure I ask next time if they don't offer. I love a good baguette! And they're even better warmed up!! Laura & I split the turkey sandwich last fall but I found it a bit dry & didn't like the mayonaise they have there. Did you put something on it?

they did offer, I wouldn't have thought to ask and was so happy they did! I didn't put a thing on it, not sure if it had anything or not to be honest but it wasn't dry at all and I'd been worried it would be. The quality of the ham and the cheese though really surprised me. I like ham and cheese but rarely actually rave about it. This was exceptional. And of course the baguette was

Yum....the French bakery. One of the best places in all of WDW to spend a snack credit! Or get CS, apparently, which I had never considered. And good call on the slushies. I had one last winter and while it was good I can only imagine how much better they must be when its actually HOT out. It was rather cool when we were there, but nontheless, still delicious.

Definitely a great use of a snack credit!!!

Sos, I just spent some amount of time catching up and I have a question or two I hope you don't mind answering. I'd love to do one of the portrait sessions. Can you tell me some of the specifics, like who to call and what not?

Sure, they offer them at most of the deluxes now (GF, Poly, WL, BC...not sure about the rest) just call 407-934-4004. It was $125 for 20 minutes, 4 poses (locations) and it included all digital negatives on a CD and one print package. I think there were about 5 print packages you could pick from. You can also just walk up to the photopass desk at those locations and book onsite. Some offer single shot daily sessions at no charge, I know the WL does a family portrait session every night in the lobby.

Also, I am so glad to see you liked Tutto Italia. It is a wonderful place, and although we don't have plans to return there for this trip, maybe someday!

Oh the healing power of good food! SIGH... Well done! You know I have never eaten at the CS in France, I don't know that I have ever seen it!!! I mean I have heard of it, but never been inside.. I think the pastry case would get me to give it a try if on the DDP!!! I will have to consider that a choice for next trip! I LOVE the slushies... I love the slushies.. so good so good so good... AND the Tangerine Cafe choices are equally yummy too! Love ther options... I love the shwarma platter... WS is the BEST for QS... hands down...

oh you MUST go to the bakery, you would love it, it could end up becoming part of your twice in one trip list.

It was a good morning aside from the panic of them potentially going out for breakfast and not being able to find SOAT. EO and Orange were a blast!

I am a Grey Goose Slushie fan as well. It is a very nice drink, but also very potent, at least it felt like that for me.

I am glad that you loved your baguette, it just did not seem so special to me?? Can't you get baguette like this? Here it seems to be everywhere! Maybe that's another case of different points of view depending on where you come from? I think I never replied to your Tutto answer about how this place differs from what you normally could get and I really appreciated your explanation. In my experience Italian restaurants in the US and in Germany are quite different and I am sure in Italy they are different again!

They are potent! Which honestly, was a nice surprise. It seems more often than not, when things are premixed like that, they seem to have very little actual alcohol so it's just expensive juice!

They do have baguettes at the grocery store but it's usually just sold as the whole baguette, and almost never used as a sandwich bread unless you are at a french bistro/cafe of which there aren't that many of. The quality of the breads in general, and rolls, just doesn't compare to what you have over there. We had bakery rolls at my brothers while I was there, and I was absolutely in heaven each morning for breakfast. Here, if you went to an actual bakery you "might" find that but they tend to focus on the sweeter pastries and heavy on the cakes/cupcakes/donuts more than anything. A regular sandwich place might have a very lovely 9 grain or foccacia (which is what I had today at a lunch place that bakes their own) but not the baguette.

Now, that said, I think part of it is just a difference in lifestyle as well. They thought nothing of running to the bakery in the morning before breakfast. No one would make the time for that here.

Tutto was quite a bit more similar, to me, to some of nicer the restaurants we visited in Tuscany than the everyday family style ones we typically go to here which are more like a pizza place that happens to also offer pasta.

It's hugely popular as a sandwich bread in many places, much easier to find! And it was a fabulous sandwich, I admit, I have a huge weakness for Panera (the place we were at) and do buy our fresh bagels from there...YUM! Good bagels are hard to find in the Northwest. Although I imagine good sourdough bread is harder to find in Germany.

That said, I think part of the reason I was so surprised and delighted by my sandwich is that so often at a counter service location, anywhere, the bread can be disappointing, or just meh, and it just wasn't, (not to mention the fact that a stale baguette can be painful to try and eat) so it exceeded my expectations by a landslide.
