What a morning! My fingers are crossed that Paul's pain gets under control enough for them to make it -- especially since you we're counting on that room!
We were counting on that room!
I just can't help myself! Whatever did I do before the Internet?
I often wonder that myself. That, and debit cards.
November 15, 1966 was when Walt announced he had bought land in Florida but that doesn't fit.
Hmmn, if that's the announcement...maybe it is related to that. perhaps they closed on the 8th? Seaplanes are HUGE in FL, he cold have toured in one for all we know. The plane Jeff is building actually comes from Orlando.
This isn't one of those mind you (not based out of FL) but would likely have been what was flying down there back then as well.
ISomeone needs to email that question to Ask Dave over on the
D23 website...
Seriously!
I saw your pretty little ticker a few days ago but just now finally made it over here to wish you my HUGE congratulations!!!! That is incredibly exciting, and I bet it's going to be an amazing cruise. I love that Disney is expanding their cruise choices. Any of them will be new to me, but hopefully that will change in the next year or two!
I'm very excited and still a bit surprised about the whole thing. I'd been eying the Mexico one for what, over a year and hadn't really even considered Alaska, assuming it was out of reach and then bingo, it just fell into place!
Beautiful rooms! And I LOVE that there isn't that horrid cover that Disney has in most of their resorts. Instead is that nice, soft white comforter.

I wish they would all turn to that.
So glad that check-in went smoothly and that you made it for the WL tour! I want to do that next time we stay there, it's such an amazing resort, I'd love to hear all those details.
The bedding is heavenly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should do the WL tour, I highly recommend it

And you don't have to be staying there, it would work well if you were at WCC for breakfast as well!
Eek about your FIL being in the ER! Hopefully it all gets taken care of and they get on the next flight....
Looking forward to hearing about the photography session and how the kids enjoyed posing in matching t-shirts.
Well they aren't exactly matching...just all the same color so we didn't clash and so they were clean. I pick my battles.
Such great check in mojo for the Yacht Club!!! The room is really pretty, congrats on getting the connecting rooms. Wow you had a very busy day planned before WL check out.
Thanks! it was great mojo and a really good start to the day which was pretty busy to be sure!
So sorry Paul had to go to the ER, I hope they got his pain under control. You had great luck with the short version of the WL tour and a great idea to ask about pushing back the photo session. I am so happy you found the key. I can't wait to see your pictures!
We did have really good luck with the key and tour that morning, pictures are up next!
I'm here and reading- sigh, just not able to pour into each TR I'm "on" right now. I know it's a temporary thing, but ugh! moving is so hard.
so, the short version of my comments are:
I'm SOOOOOOOOO glad you found that key!!! What a blessing!
I'm really hoping that Paul gets in and out of the ER quickly and can they can be on their way super fast- and of course, he will find a long-term fix for the pain and such!!
Oh I know the feeling and you've been moving for what, 5-6 months now, realistically? A constant state of flux.
Gout is a funny thing, I know a lot more about it now than before but the whole thing, what they can and cannot do for it, is pretty weird. I guess I assumed that it had basically been eradicated (or wasn't even real, just in books, a name they used to describe something else) but that's not the case at all and really, they still struggle with treatment.
