I have noticed that a lot of people seem to not like this ride too much.
When I first went to IOA, I would NOT ride it. I looked at it, and said no way. I am VERY afraid of hights, and really don't like that sensation on these types of rides. ( Hey, don't laugh. I get a little queasy on TOT) The second time I went, I rode it. (Twice. Why peer pressure.) This is where I vowed never to ride it again. I have figured out that Dr. Doom is a ride made for people like me. People who are afraid of heights and such things. I am going back again, and fearing that peer pressure may again cause me to try and brave it again. I thought it was bad only because i was f*&^%$! terrified! Not because it was quick, or didn't go up and down enough. How do you all feel about this ride? Im curious.

I don't fear heights, I just hated the way it made me feel on the way UP! It shocked me! It wasn't exhilarating or exciting or anything it was just YUCK!

Sorry, that is just NOT how I like to feel during a ride <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif" alt="razz"> ..

I was planning on riding this with my DS aged 10. I'm not sure if it's a good idea now!!!

Everyone in our party liked this ride. The views were great and you bounce long enough and slow enough to get a good view of the park. We tried to ride it on different sides for different views.

I got enough courage up ONCE to get on this ride last year...it scared the stuffing out of me, that rapid ascent was awful..first time I was truly scared on a ride..I just hated the way you felt you were just hanging there..I just knew I would fall and be a little grease spot on the ground...I will be just an observer from now on..thank you

Hey,

Here's a little bit of trivia about the Man you are a fan of.

He, himself is a bit of a chicken. Whenever he comes to the park we have to make some exceptions for him. He will not ride any of the coasters. When he rides River Adventure he makes us stop the boat at the bottom of lift three (right before the drop) so he can get out.

Though you might find this interesting.

Hi Ride&Show2!
That's good stuff! Be funny if ya'll forced him to continue on to the last drop ("that's one big pile..." - fave JP quote)
Doom was my 8 yo DD first big-league thrill ride, she loved it! 1" more till riding coasters.
Thanks for joining on & a great big welcome to you!

I loved both TOT and Doom. I am a HUGE Twilight Zone fan, so naturally I was just all into TOT. Doom is just a plain old thrill ride with a bit of theming, but the launch upwards was quite the rush. Felt as though I was in the space shuttle heading to orbit! My mother loves TOT but refuses to ride Doom. As I often say, whatever floats your boat

My favorite part of Fearfall is the airtime at top. my butt comes off the seat several inches. I wouldn't wait more than 10-20 minutes for it. I've seen 60 minute waits for it, which is too long for such a short ride.
