Anyone know if we are able to add dining plan when we check in at resort? I won a free trip to WDW and the Disney prize dept is unable to take payment for dining plan.

My guess, and lemme stress "guess", is not. DDP has to be booked as part of a room and ticket package. But it never hurts to ask 1407WDISNEY.

No, you need to add it 3-5 days prior, depending on which CM you get. One told me it needed 72 hours to process and another told me 5 days. But they both definitely told me you can't do it when you check in.

From the Dining Plan FAQ for this forum:

How far in advance can I add the dining plan before my arrival?
The Dining Plan can be added to qualifying packages until shortly before your arrival date. The number of days varies depending on circumstances, so the recommendation is to be sure that you've made final arrangements at least five days prior.

When I booked our resort a couple of nights ago I asked about adding the dining plan and tickets later. I was told by the CM that you have to change a "room only" reservation into a package at least 6 days prior to check in.

Glad to hear that someone wins trips. I'm so happy for you. I always enter for trips and have never won anything. So if you don't mind me asking what drawing was it for and all the other good stuff(ie..Where you get to stay)

I entered the Alamo rent a car sweepstakes on their website last year. I found out in December that I had won!!

Did the "prize department" use a travel agency? If they did, then I'd try to call the travel agency directly and speak with an agent.

I'd also keep calling...you might get lucky (again).
