DP Viewing Fee

I read there is a $12.95 per person viewing fee for a dessert party in EPCOT. Some info sources say that is only if guests do not have an entrance ticket for that day. Other sources say it is levied regardless. I see it alot in the BEOs that are posted here. If someone knows the official answer, please clue me in.

From what i understand, you pay everyone's viewing fees up front. You will get refunded for the people that had park tickets after the wedding. That is my understanding of how that works. We just had to make our final payment for the wedding and had to pay for all the viewing fees even though we know only ~10 people won't have park tickets that day.

This is correct—if any of your guests have park admission, you don't have to pay the viewing fee for them BUT you may be charged up front and get a refund later. In our case, we told them ahead of time how many guests would have admission and were only charged for everyone else. But this seems to vary by planner.

One thing to note is that your guests with admission will have to A) remember to bring it, and B) lose a day from their pass to use it (unless they have APs of course), so it might be nice to go ahead and pay the fee for them if they wouldn't otherwise be using an entire day of their admission.

talked to our wedding consultant and also asked about the fee and this is her response:

Jeff and I have been looking over the contract and are curious about the dessert party. There is a viewing fee and we are curious what are we paying for? [/I]The Illuminations cost is in lieu of a theme park ticket and it is for the entertainment of the show. If your guests have annual passes, then all they need to do is bring them and run them through the turnstile and you will not have to pay the per person cost[/I]
