I've looked at the DP menus on the magicalkingdoms website but i know tou can get customized menus. So if you dont mind enabling my sweets addiction would you mind sharing your menus and how much it was per person? Oh and pictures if you have any! :cutie:

Thanks girls!

They just changed all the Epcot DP menus. We got the new ones at our PS last week. We are going with ice cream sundaes and floats. We also added mini cheesecakes and canolis. It is running $30 a person with two flavors of ice cream.

Oh wow!!! Ice cream and FLOATS!!!!!!!! love that idea! Oh and mini cheese cake and cannoli's... my favorite.

Thank you for posting that!

You can definitely get custom menus! Our WP had us submit our "dream menu", and everything was done for us. Fantastic!!

We had:

- fruit display with yogurt dipping sauce
- Italian profiteroles with chocolate sauce on the side
- chocolate fudge brownies (sorry, no picture of these...)
- chocolate peanut butter marshmallow squares
- cheesecake bites
- mini raspberry and apple pies
- miniature Napoleons
- miniature mille-feilles

The cost was $34.00/guest and was totally worth it! :lovestruc (We love dessert!) I have left the pictures in giant form to allow for true appreciation! ;)

WOW! That food looks delicious!

Does anyone know what they can whip up for vegans? There would be only one in the party..and she can't have any dairy, so most desserts are out :(

Is there anyway to get a special menu or even just a couple things put together? I mean can't really exclude her, you know?

I'm sure they can come up with something! You could always ask for an alternative milk product in a few of the items...I have had these plenty of times and couldn't tell the difference (ie. vegan brownies, etc). Maybe even a fruit platter....or if you want more of a snack food, chips and salsa?

I would definitely ask them about vegan offerings, they are really good about accommodating special needs. At the very least, I'm sure if you gave them a recipe they would make it for you.

I have always heard that Disney is very willing to accommodate special diets. You know what are really tasty vegan style? Crepes! My vegan roomie made them for me once... mmm! :goodvibes

Thanks for the responses girls! :)

I know she drinks rice milk, so I was curious if they would substitute something of that nature. I also failed to think of fruits, which is probably an obvious one!

Thanks again, if anyone else has ideas let me know. I was just worried that they wouldn't want to accommodate one person, and I felt bad!

OMG are you kidding?!! Grrrr, I gotta stop reading these boards. All the good stuff is added after my wedding is over  ;)

The menu's are great but use them as a guide. If you want something different or want to mix and match just let you planner know and they'll see what they can do and let you know how much it costs. We had them serve mini fish and chips at our "dessert party". It was great.

We have several allergies in our family, and according to my DH (he planned it), we are having an entirely vegan menu for our dessert party in January! HTH's! :goodvibes

That totally helps!! Could you post an example of your menu if possible? Just so I can get ideas to present!

LOL! I just talked to DH, guys so don't stress over this stuff! He does not have a menu :rotfl: When I asked him about it, she said they would do it all vegan, but they offer different things at different times, so we'd have to call back closer to it, and of course he didn't care and wasn't worried about the menu and assumed they'd just take care of it and it would be good.

Honestly, I think you shouldn't worry too much about it. Have some fresh fruit if it's a concern, or plan something extra vegan, but as someone that has to request special dessert items- I could care less what it is!! It really is the thought that counts, and having an option. Vegans get used to having one option when they are out to eat! I'm SUPER excited for this we get to have more than one option, but it is our vow renewal and we're paying for it. I would never expect someone at a wedding to do that for me, let alone give me a menu option. I just wouldn't. Same as with my kids going to birthday parties and such- occasionally people will be like you and go the extra effort, but it's not expected, and if I have to bring their own cupcakes or whatever, I feel that is my job, because I can't expect everyone to cater to our diet. Just my opinion, though!

You are the best! This would just be a future MIL, so I want to make her feel special, as the DP would be something we do for both our moms.

If you don't mind (and you remember), when it gets closer can you PM me the menu options? I know the idea would be a lot more attractive if I had concrete examples..

But I really appreciate what you're saying, and thanks for asking DH! :goodvibes:goodvibes
