Downtown Disney ???

My hubby and I were going to want to go out for some drinks and nightlife with NO kids ! we will need it after 6 days in DL at Christmas.We love WDW Pleasure Island, but, we understand that this is a WAAAAYYYY different DD. Where can we hear some good music and have fun?? House of blues? When we were there over Easter, we were shopping in the afternoon so I assume that atmosphere is literally like night and day-right?? We wouldnt want to stray far from our hotel(Homewood Suites)and I dont remember anything in that area(barwise). Thanks!!! Oh, How is the ESPN Zone???--Maria

I haven't gone out in DD for a grown up excursion since it's usually just me and my son. But I can tell you that DL DD is way different than Pleasure Island. There are no specific nightclubs in this DD, but there are a lot of street performers throughout and you can get drinks at any of the major restaurants. House of Blues is very cool inside, but again I haven't done it as an adult thing, only lunchtime. ESPN Zone gets crowded at night but not really an evening out type of atomosphere. Sorry, don't know of anything else in the area.

The espn zone is okay. man they are alcohol pushers. You are never without a drink. once it hits the half level they are ordering you up another round.

The Uva bar is kind of expensive and it's mostly for drinking.

Depending on the day HOB is soooo crowded!

I don't know, it wasn't really my scene. My friends and I wound up getting a fridge in our room, made a trip to "Beverages and More" before we left and had a full bar in our room. Then we bought haunted mansion clue and pirates of the caribbean life (the board games) We stayed in the room and had a blast!
