downtown Disney virgin check in

Hi can anyone tell me if the check in at downtownn Disney is still open with all the construction going on

Well it's still on their website, details below taken from it. Haven't used for a while as we book flight only

Downtown Disney check in
Simply go to the valet area of the Cirque Du Soleil in the Westside Parking Area, lot L&M, between 08.15 and 13.00. We’ll take care of your bags and hand you your boarding pass for a small fee – then see you at the airport, 2hrs before your flight. Upper Class and Flying Club Gold customers can use this service free of charge.

Yes, it's still there each day. We used it coming home from our trip in November.

Unless you can't do online check in I really wouldn't bother with DTD check in - the whole area is such a mess you'll waste more time than you will gain by not having to bag drop at the airport.

If you are at Disney resort bell services will store your luggage until you leave for the airport

I totally agree with this it takes up so much of that last morning it is easer just doing it at the airport.

Think its only worthwhile if you are worried you might not be sat together or you want to go to dtd anyway

We have used DTD checkin in the past. It does not guarantee that you will sit together as we have been split on more than one occasion. It's only useful if you want to offload your baggage and forget about it. We plan to online checkin this year.

Yes not guaranteed but your more likely to sit together the earlier you check in (however that may be)

My DH always insists we do the DTD check in. I think it's a pain that ruins my last day a bit. When I took just my DD last year we checked in at the airport without even having done online check in. Quick, easy and we got great seats together in the PE part of the bubble. I am refusing to do it this summer I have put my foot down! I would try on line check in though it wasn't working though for us.
