Knowing that you all are the best help around:) I am back for some more info. We are booked and excited. We have choosen to stay at Royal Plaza for the week of thanksgiving due to a great mousesavers deal. So my sister's family has choosen to join us--2 weeks notice. Got lucky, got them the same hotel deal and great flights (considering it IS thanksgiving) So now we need to pick them up and drop them off at the airport. How long realistically will this take. Can anyone recommend a place to tell them to meet us. They are planning on carry ons only. It is easy to tell someone where you will pick them up at your own local airport, but not at one neither of you have driven to and from. Please any help would be great. So after way to much detail

1. How long to allow for trip to airport
2. Good location to pick up at airport

The drive from Downtown Disney to the airport took us around 30 minutes. It's really not far at all. I'm not familiar with the airport so I can't recommend a good meeting location.

Good luck! Have fun!

They will have to meet you outside the arrivals area just as you would at any airport. Pull up and pick up. You will need to know what terminal they will be flying in to.

So is there a well marked arrivals area at their given terminal that we could just drive and pick them up outside? I know there is at our airport. We have cell phones too so I would think we would eventually find them.

This might be helpful.

MCO (Orlando International Airport) is a little odd since it is kinda out by itself (I'm used to airports crammed in the middle of things) and it has two sides to it that are fairly identical. Probably the easiest thing to do is for you to wait at the cell phone lot until your family is at an easily identifiable pickup location (you don't want to try talking on the phone while driving the road that circles the terminals; there's too much going on to be that distracted); then they can call you and you can pick them right up.

Thankyou this is wonderful and helpful information. I know someone on the Dis always has the answer.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

It's about 30 min. drive.
Take the South 417 exit. There are two $1.00 tolls. Take WDW exit 6. Turn right on 535 (right past Buena Vista Suites) follow down few miles (go under I-4) then turn left onto WDW property. It's really easy. Across from the entrance is McDonald's, UNO Pizza (Crossroads Plaza)
