Downtown Disney Movie Theater

Hi Everyone, Just sitting here thinking about Disney and different things to do next time around and was wondering if the movie theater is still downtown. It was quite some time ago that we went to it. Now that I think about it, I don't remember seeing it lately but I could be wrong. Anyone info? Thanks!

its an amc theaters 24 complex

why see a movie when you can do rides though

We saw "Cars" there in June. We didn't have tickets for the park that day and it rained and rained, so it was perfect!!!

I know some people get a bad wrap by heading to the movies while at WDW - but for us it was the perfect opportunity to s-l-o-w d-o-w-n and lay low on a rainy day.

Plus, as new parents, we hardly ever got to movies, and we were there solo so it was almost like a date night. I know some people will think less of us, but so be it. I'll take a movie anywhere I can get one these days!

Depending on how late they show movies, I intend to hit the theater at least once during the trip. Since I'm going at a slow time, the parks close early and I'm a serious night owl. DH will be home with the bub while he sleeps and I can go wander around DTD. I don't want to go to the clubs by myself so I'll probably hit a movie.

And...they have The Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D playing!

It's a great movie complex! DD and I will head to DTD to see a movie many times on the weekends instead of the Regal that is only 5 minutes away. There's just something more special about it being at DTD!!!

This is great news...especially that Nightmare is there! Also, I think my husband may be the last person on the planet who has not seen POTC so what better place to see it?! Anyone know if that is still showing there?

DH and I went down in July to see it for our 25th Anniversary. How decadent!
