Downtown Disney in the evening and kids

We were considering eating at Downtown Disney one evening but we were a bit worried about the spending the evening there. We were wondering if the crowd changes any during the evening. I was thinking that since PI was closed that Downtown Disney may have changed. And I was wondering which resturants seemed more child friendly then the others.

I love DTD, but it does get hectic in the evenings...I always equate it to the Boardwalk at the beach - people just head there in droves in the evenings. The Marketplace is always packed and lively. Lots of kids. I don't think the crowd has ever been bad - at least that I've seen - whether PI was up and running or not. Rainforest Cafe is always kid friendly. We eat at Earl of Sandwich, which is tasty and convenient.

Gotta stop at Goofy's Candy Co. for your Create Your Own treat...then off to Once Upon a Toy, the Lego Store and World of Disney!

DTD is very kid-friendly at all times of the night. You should have no problems there. We started eating at Rainforest Cafe with DS18 and DD17 when they were little and have continued the tradition since, including last week! Also, if you are going after the middle of this month, you will also have the option the T Rex restaurant!! It looks really interesting!!! Don't forget to look around in the great stores!!!!
