Downtown Disney for New Years Eve?

Hello...
I am not sure where to post this question so I have it on a few different boards.....
Does anyone have any experience good or bad with DD that night? We are having a hard time deciding between DD and City Walk. No kids would be going. Just my husband and I and a few other couples all in our late 20's to early 30's.. How do we decide?? I want to decide soon since we need to book a hotel and all the good ones are going....fast!! TIA!!

I've done it a couple of times at Pleasure Island. This year, its $99 I think each, and you get a buffet, desserts and champagne toast. I've loved it everytime I've gone. They only sell so many tickets and the only time it really felt crowded was when everyone came outside at for the concert/fireworks at midnight. It's great to club hop, etc.

Definitely use the bus system!
