downtown disney/disneyquest

Hi everyone, my family (DH,DD,DD's friend and myself) are scheduled to go to DisneyWorld May 29-June 1. Can anyone tell me what Downtown Disney is like, also we will not be visiting any of the theme parks because I will be 24 weeks pregnant.

We thought about DisneyQuest. I have read that it is like an indoor theme park? Is this true? I feel bad for the kids but I can tell already that I am not going to be able to last in that heat. Please give me feedback on Disney Quest.

Also, we are going to cocoa beach for a day. I've read that the drive is 45minutes-1hour. Should we stay in the resort we are at or should we check out and find a resort in cocoa beach?

We did DisneyQuest for the first time this past March and my kids really enjoyed it. It's 5 stories of arcades, virtual reality games and anything else you can think of! I don't know if I could do a whole day of it, but it was great to go in the evenings when everything else was closed. It stays open until 11 p.m. I think. As far as Cocoa Beach goes, we just stayed in Orlando and did the 45 minute drive. Much easier than moving from hotel to hotel IMHO.
