We are leaving for the world in one week! yaa!!! I was tweeking my ADR's and trying to find a DD restaurant on the meal plan. Well, I checked the list and Im sure that Portofino and Fultons were not on the dining plan. However, when I went to the DW website to make my ressies...I put in DD restaurants and checked the "on the dining plan only restaurants" and these restaurants came up. Anyone know what thats about? :confused3

Im tempted to make the ressie and see. I remember a few years ago I was told by a CM that Rainforest Cafe (outside of AK) wasn't on it, but when we were ready for the bill the waitress asked us if we were on the plan because they accepted it.

Don't know about Portofino but everything on this board says that Fulton's is NOT on the plan. I was going to go anyway but it is pretty expensive to pay OOP when the reviews are so mixed. Raglan Road seems to get positive reviews and has entertainment (band and Irish dancer) and IS on the DP. That is where we are going to go after we see La Nouba. Have you concidered RR?

Sorry to say...Don't make the ressies, unless you're ready to pay cash at those places. These restaurants are definitely NOT on the regular dining plan. You can see the actual Dining plan brochures if you look at the sticky about the dining plans on this thread...the actual brochures list the restaurants, and these are not listed on the brochures...haven't been since 2007 anyway. And neither is either of the Rainforest Cafes - it may have been years ago but has not been included in the regular or deluxe dining plans for several years.

the reason these come up as "dining plan" on the Disney website is these restaurants are available if you are on the Premuim Plan ($164 night per adult) or the Platinum plan ($220 per night) On those plans, you can go to any restaurant on Disney property including all of the restaurants at Downtown Disney. However, you're obviously paying major $$$$ for that...more than 3X the cost of regular plan & more than double the Deluxe plan.

Catne is correct. They are not on the DDP and haven't been for several years. In addition to Portobellos, Fultons, and Rainforest Cafe, Bongos, the upstairs Wolfgang Pucks, TRex, and House of Blues are also not on the DDP. The only TS restaurants that are on the DDP in DTD are Cap'n Jacks, downstairs Wolfgang Pucks, Planet Hollywood, and Raglan Road.

Thank you everyone! Im disappointed, but glad not to find out the hard way!
