Truthfully the few I have seen (in the US edited version) have been edited for two reasons. 1. They need to fit it into our traditional blocked time (even being in PBS) we run our shows at different lengths than the UK does. That settles it, then. I'm going to buy the unedited version on Amazon. I prefer to binge watch anyway, at least 2 episodes back to back.
I thought our television system was similar to hours (10 minutes then five minute break and so on...) 


Season 4, Episode 2 just took off with a bang, and not a good one either. No spoilers but I didn't see this coming.
Now I'll have to go find a rerun.
