Has anyone paid to do this? It looks like downloading any photo is $14.95, and comes with copyright release. Has anyone tried this and if so how did it work and how was the quality?

I've done this twice. I'm trying to think how exactly it worked. I think after you pay you go to a link on your photopass account (on the PP website) and there is where you download the picture and copyright release. We used it last year to get a photo for our Christmas card which we then used on the costco website to make our card and then I did it with another photo that I just printed from home.

The quality is very good. I think you get a choice of what size you want but it seems to me that after reading about it, the downloads are all the same size (in other words, you can print any of them at any size) but the size option is actually to pick how it is cropped since the dimensions of different sized photos cause it to be cropped slightly. I'm not sure if i explained that very good. Anyway, I chose the one that showed it wouldn't be cropped at all so I could choose do that myself if I wanted to.

Hope that helped and didn't make it more confusing for you. The bottom line is that it worked well for me and the quality was very good. :)

Just remember, getting the CD with all your pictures is only 59.99 plus $7 shipping at DLR. So if you're getting 4+ pictures, the download isn't the best choice. :)

Given the low price of the Disneyland cd, I think it's a better deal unless you only want one photo because the cd comes with all the photopass pictures you took and you can add different borders to each and every picture if you want.

Last time I got the CD (200+ photos after all the edits!) It was like 79 then...now it's 59?? Not bad at all.. I think I will still just do the download..we just didn't get too many photos and only one we really didn't duplicate well with our own camera (castle one)
