Downloading DVC Points Manager...not!

Sorry if this is a FAQ, but every time I try to download the DVC points manager program, I get cut off after only 40-50% of the download is finished. Do I have to be an AOL member, or could this be a glitch related to the browser version I currently have? Any tips and suggestions would be gratefully appreciated!

Well, I have downloaded it several times, but that is as far as I ever get. It won't open once downloaded. I just use an excel spreadsheet!

There is a fix to this problem, although I don't remember what it is. Keep bumping the post every day or so, so others see it. I'm sure someone will remember what the fix is and tell you.

Can you give us a little more detail?
1) What browser?
2) What Operating system/ type of computer?
3) Do you have enough memory?


I had a problem, I was missing a .DLL file. Once I loaded that everything was fine.

Sorry, But I just downloaded it, and re-installed it, and all went well. There WAS a problem installing it a few weeks ago, as the file was corrupted, but Dave Fredrick fixed it. Should work fine now. It may be your browser. Try downloading it from another computer to a floppy. The file is less than 1/2 megabyte, so it will easily fit on a floppy, then try installing it from the floppy. Should work.

Also, I'd clear out the browser cache and temporary files. If you are using Internet Explorer 6, do "Tools", "Internet Options", and on the General Tab, clear your History and make the Settings say to check for updated pages every visit to the page.

Sometimes there is old stuff in the cache that creates problems in downloads.
