Downgrading Room View in Package - Refund?

Hi! I have paid for water view room at POR. I have been told that the water view there isn't too special. I've already paid for my package. Do you think they would refund us the difference between standard and water views? It'd save us about $150. Thanks!

All you can do is ask. They may give you the difference in a room credit and then you can charge things in the park back to the room and use your credit.

I don't know whether or not they'll refund the difference, but I do know that they'll credit your room charge if they do. We were able to apply a code to an existing reservation last November and it was about 3 months (?) out - they said they'd credit my card, then said it was too close to the trip, so we'd get it once we were in Disney. When we checked in for the night the CM explained that it would be on our room charge - use it or lose it... Well, more accurately, they *will* refund your credit card, but there's a fee to do so ($25 I think). Since it was only one night and not much more than the change fee to do it we happily "spent" the $

Well if they place you in a standard view room then they'd just about have to refund the difference! By the way, we stayed in POR, and it's definitely not worth the extra $$ for a water view room.
