Down By The Boardwalk, Out By The Mouse. 3/11 Jen's New PTR Pg. 69

SSE and Soarin' are my Epcot must-do's, as well. I've never seen the American Adventure but I want to b/c I am a huge history nerd! I think Epcot is my favorite park. I found on YouTube the Innoventions music loop and it seriously just takes me back there every time I hear it :cloud9: Test Track is another must-do, I love it!

I love all the WS pavilions but my favorites are Japan for the huge store, Norway for the almond pretzel, and Mexico for the cool store, the Gran Fiesta tour b/c I love it despite its corniness, and of course the margaritas :rotfl2:

Hurray for Epcot Must-Dos!!!

Well, you know most of my family's: Soarin', Test Track, and World Showcase -- especially World Showcase with Kim Possible missions!

LOL!! I love Test Track too will definitely be riding that in January!!!

I so want to do a Kim Possible Mission with Connor!! :rotfl:

Soarin' is #1 for me. I could ride it many times over during one trip. I like Living with the Land, Voices of Liberty, the movie in France, and a schoolbread or almond pretzel in Norway. And, of course, all of The Seas - Nemo for Brooklynn and the real fishies and friends for Bella.

Soarin' is such a great ride!!! I knew you would mention Nemo for your precious granddaugthers!!!!

Great Must-Dos. Soarin' is always a wonderful ride. World Showcase is always a must-do for me, especially France, Germany (especially the railway garden), the UK and Mexico (usually for the AC and the Gran Fiesta Tour).

Soarin' is amazing!!! LOVE IT!!!! WS is a lot of fun!! I also enjoy France!!!!!!

Love the must-dos! My favorite from your list is Spaceship Earth. :goodvibes

Don't you just LOVE Spaceship Earth!! I have so much fun on that ride! I definitely want to go on it a couple of times!!!

Love both your must dos!! Oh you have to see American Adventure SO GOOD!!!! I love when I can listen to Disney Music just relaxes me!!!! I so need that!!! HMMMM...Almond pretzel I may have to try that although the new caramel shop is calling my name in Germany!

I'm such a loser!!

I forgot to reply to this when it was posted. :headache:

My goal is to NOT be overloaded by Epcot and just enjoy the time we spend there.

I can't wait for Soarin & American Adventure.

LOL! I heart you!!! You are not a loser!! Yes no OVERLOAD! I think EPCOT is so much more fun when its cooler and you just take your time!! I really like our must dos.

I love Epcot. My must - do's start with the big 3 - Soarin, TT, and Mission space. I also love Sum of all Thrills and my new guilty pleasure is Kim Possible!

After you and Jackie's comments about the Sum of All Thrills I'm so going to do it in January!!!! I just have to!! Sounds like a great time!!! KP missions are so fun and I really want to do a new one in January!!

Well, it's that time again!!! Time to celebrate our random countdown to Disney!!!! We don't have a reason for picking the days we do, which is half the fun!!!!!!

So how many days do we have left before relaxation and fun???

1071019569_MTGHc-L.png

That's right we are 87 days away from Boardwalk relaxation and great times with great friends!!

Speaking of great friends as you may know each random countdown posts celebrates a random Disney couple and these two stick together through naughty sheriffs and evil thumb sucking princes. Do you know who they are??

1071012852_5xLUr-XL.jpg

Robin Hood and Little John! Defenders of the poor and opressed, stealers from the rich and opressing LOL! These two are buddies through and through and are always there for each other! And it's such a great movie! I love it!!!!! The little rabbits, dressing up like a crane, Prince John, it's just wonderful!! I think I'm going to need to go buy it from WalMart before it goes back into the vault!

Well Leslie brought up an interesting question the other day amongst the flurry of text messages we send each other and I wanted to throw it out to you guys and see what answers we get!!

"What is your favorite Disney sound?"

I had to stop and think for awhile, Sound???, I had thought through favorite ride (do you know what it is :rotfl:?), favorite food, favorite country at EPCOT, but favorite sound? That was going to take some thought! I finally came up with my answer!! This sound gets my heart to racing and it's probably going to shock some of you because (it doesn't involve my favorite ride, but does the park it's in)

1071027343_ssVKB-L.jpg

It's the sound of the train pulling into the station during the Rope Drop Ceremony at Magic Kingdom. The minute I hear the train coming I know in just a few moments I'm going to be seeing the castle, smelling the popcorn, and enjoying my walk down Main Street and there is nothing that beats that feeling of knowing you are THERE!

Leslie's favorite sound has nothing to do with a park, instead has to do with her favorite resort!! Port Orleans Riverside/French Quarter!

Thanks to Allears for the photo! I left my flashdrive with all our pictures from last January at work LOL!!! OOPS!

Leslie said her favorite sound is listening to the clopping of the horse's hooves as she rides in the carriage around the resort!! I have to say this is a VERY relaxing sound and I can see why she enjoyes it so much!!!

So what is your favorite Disney sound??????? I can't wait to see your answers!!!!

One last thought.....

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Happy Halloween!! 87 days... with the holidays thrown in there the time is sure to fly right by!!

Soarin' and WS are my Epcot must do's. I really like all of the pavilions for shopping and snacking -- not necessarily the movies/attractions. American Adventure is definitely a must do.

As for my favorite sound, that is also in Epcot WS. It is the "woosh" when the Illuminations narrator blows out the torches. A close second is the sound of the champagne cork popping! :upsidedow

Happy Halloween! Love the photo of the characters.

You know, if I had to pick a favorite Disney sound that's part of Disney it would be the first "Dead...men...tell...no...tales..." you hear when you're on Pirates, and the anticipation you have knowing that you're about to go through the drop and the ride is going to beginning.

But if I had to pick something a little sentimental, it's the sound of my family in the parks and at meals, talking and laughing. That's the sound of happy that I like to carry with me wherever I go.

Of course, I could not just pick one sound!!!

I love the sound of Jiminy Cricket narrating (Sp?) Wishes.
The sound of the monorail - "Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas!"

I also like the sounds of my girls giggling or screaming on BTMRR - that's a new one as of last trip!

Sound... this is a good question. I love the answer about the"whoosh" from Illuminations. that is a great sound. I get chills with the start of the "welcome song" in MK, those few little notes put a smile on my face. This song and dance number just get my day started right. Is that a sound or a song?

You've all picked such great ones.

Oh, I like the favorite sound question! Can I just say the whole monorail spiel? LOL. There are certain parts though that I just love...like the mention of Seven Seas Lagoon, Bay Lake, etc. I don't know why, but those names just say DISNEY WORLD to me. :goodvibes Also the monorail "ding ding", you know, like before they open the doors and stuff? Oh yeah, and the part when you get to the Polynesian. Yeah, so that's my answer. Definitely the monorail.

But I also agree with the beginning of the MK welcome show song. :goodvibes

ETA: Oh, I thought of one more! The very very beginning of the Soarin song too! That long note...there's something about that that gives me chills and gets me pumped for the awesome ride. Here, I'll even provide the actual audio. hehe

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdaYDt3ywXw

Last one, I promise...since I'm talking about Soarin I also like the "Soarin to tower...we are ready for takeoff" or whatever they say. Ahhh I love that ride!

My favorite sound is easy--it's the "ding-dong" of the monorail just before the doors close to take off!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I, too, love Robin Hood. When I was a kid, I would watch it over and over again. My favorite song was The Phony King of England, and I sure could belt it out!

Love both of your favorite sounds! The train and the clip clopping of the horses at POR are both great!

My favorite sound? Well, I thought it would be hard, but then it suddenly dawned on me...

The opening bars of the Main Street Electrical Parade. It makes me all tingly and excited!

That is one great Halloween photo.

Favorite sound - perhaps the sound of the engines when landing at MCO? :goodvibes

I also really like any music played at Epcot. There is always music playing outside near Innoventions. No matter what they play, it just screams Disney to me. One November they played O Sanctissima over and over and over again for the Christmas season and it just gave me the "warm-fuzzies".

Favorite sound - perhaps the sound of the engines when landing at MCO? :goodvibes Love it!!! When the pilot gets on and says "Welcome to Orlando if this is your final destination...gives you the beautiful current weather :cloud9:

I also really like any music played at Epcot.
Me too!!

Checking into the resort and the CM says "Welcome Home.":goodvibes

The first opening bars of Wishes :)

Hope we didn't have to pick just one!!

Musts in Epcot....SE, TT, MS and WS...mainly France and part of Mexico ;)

Tracy

Sounds is a great thing at WDW! I love alll the background sounds you can find everywhere!! But the ones that stand out to me as special are these ones:

The first "Wishes!" during Wishes

on BTTM: "Hang on to your hats and glasses, 'cause this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!"

And as someone said: the score for Soarin! :cloud9:

Your attention please, the Walt Disney World Railroad is now boarding for a trip around the Magic Kingdom

That is my favorite sound

OOOH your sound sent chills up my spine C!! That's a great sound right before Illuminations starts!! Great choice!! LOL you and your champagne, I hope you were able to indulge on your trip!!!!

Happy Halloween! Love the photo of the characters.
