I would say Main Street Bakery. It makes me so sad that it is smell-o-vision or whatever it is called and not the actual smell of the baked goods but it gets me every time!

My favourite smell is the one in the AKL lobby. It is kind of a mixture of spices and the smell from the fire place. It is wonderful!!![]()
You sparked another wonderful smell for me! You are so right! The incredible aroma of Boma and Jiko from the AKL lobby, right over by the stairs. Oh, my goodness, it is heavenly!

My sentiments exactly. The real thing, Tollhouse Cookies, baking is such a sweet smell, so I'd go with that without the 'enhancement'.
Although Soarin' is my favorite ride, and I do like the orange smell, I don't think it is my favorite Disney smell. I like the smell of turkey legs. I know many despise those things, but I am a fan.
Also, not officially Disney, but Basin. Oh, I do love the smell of cleanliness and freshness as I approcah the door of that place.![]()
Oh boy, Disney smells.... e gads. Let me think about this one. Okay, I am very fond of the Soarin' Orange trees, I agree, and I also love all the bakery smells, oh boy. And the popcorn. AND...oh the list goes on! But here are two that are rather random... ONE, the smell of the freshly made waffle cones at the ice cream shoppe on mainstreet. And TWO, really out there I know, is when you are riding POTC and Splash Mountain. Because of the water and what they use to treat it I guess? It has a familiar scent, I just associate it with the ride! OKAY weird I know -- anyone else know what I am talking about??!!

It's funny you should mention Disney smells! DH and I took DS8 to NYC yesterday for a little birthday celebration! We went into a building and DS said "I smell Disney water!"There was a really cool water wall and it did indeed smell like Disney water!!!
My favorite Disney smell is the whole smell experience on Main Street! The popcorn, the Bakery, everything! It smells like coming home again!
I thought I was the only one with the disney water smell!Right on everyone!

Did you know that The Parent Trap is an adaptation of a German childrens' book classic (and actually one of my favourites!). It is by an author called Erich Kästner and it is called "Lottie and Lisa" in English. The German title translates into "The double Lottie"

I am terrible at this game! I have so many favorite smells.
First one that comes to mind is the distinctive proliferous bouquet that is the POTC walkthrough and ride.
And you know what? Honestly, I love smell of the confectionary on good ole Main Street USA. Something about the combo of cotton candy and chocolate and junky apples just gets me.![]()
I was wondering if you were going to choose POTC LOL!!!! It has a very distinct smell!!! SO POTC!!!!
Hmmm the confectionary...my last stop on every trip!! I love the smells in there! So welcoming!!!
I don't think I ever answered the favorite sound question... which would easily be the music entering FW at Epcot!! No doubt about it!! I'm smiling just thinking about it!
And I think I'd have to agree with you that the Soarin' oranges are my favorite Disney smell too! I enjoy the pine smell, but nothing beats the oranges!![]()
Love the Parent Trap! Actually, I love all of the Haley Mills movies!
Favorite smell? Oh, it would have to be the oranges on Soarin'! Followed closely by the lobby of Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Hmmm, favorite smell...that's a tough one. I do have to agree with the oranges AND pine trees from Soarin (funny how both my favorite sound and smell come from that ride!).
This is going to sound really weird but my Vera Bradley hipster has some sort of Disney smell still. I swear, I'm not even kidding. It must be our room or something.![]()
How could I not choose Pirates, right?
I love to stop there as well, have to use up those last snack credits!![]()
These will be the fastest 74 days (well until the last 4 or so!)
I also love the Parent Trap. I've seen the newer one about 50 times, so that's the one that I think of first.
Favorite smell? Hmm,while I Love the oranges on Soarin', I also love the smell inside the Main Street Confectionary, or the Bakery. Any sweets, I'm not fussy!
I think POTC has a very distinct smell that always shouts "You're at WDW and going to ride POTC". I like that smell too.
Woot for 74 days! I agree, the oranges on Soarin' are classic Disney. I must also say, I love the smell of the Beach Club lobby. Just smells clean and classic. Oh, while I'm thinking about it, I love the perfume in Norway so that is another scent that instantly transports me. As does the smell of fresh popped popcorn on Main Street. Hmmm... what else. I'm so enjoying your updates and questions!!![]()
I'm still not convinced that there are orange and pine smells on Soarin'. I've never smelled them because every time I'm there I get a sinus infection and can smell almost nothing on my Epcot days!
I think I have to agree with Jackie and say that my favorite Disney smell is the lobby of Animal Kingdom Lodge.![]()
update update yay!!
Let's see....favorite sound would be music from Spaceship earth, the part where you're going around and see the earth in the middle of the room, always loved that
Favorite smell..I wouldn't say "favorite" but the water has a distinctive smell to it. Blake and I always refer to it as the florida water smell and it always hits us as soon as we get off the airplane in MCO, and especially when we're standing by the big giant dancing fountain in Epcot..love it!![]()
Hi Jen and Leslie,
have you seen this wonderful Boardwalk review: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2598242
It is about the Inn side, but still has lots and lots of wonderful Boardwalk pictures. I thought it might help you get excited about your trip!![]()
Just because I'm too lazy to go back and read - I was wondering are you staying in a studio or 1 BR?? Now that we own DVC, I'm curious to find out more about all the properties. I'll be anxious to hear your report on the room!
