Down By The Boardwalk, Out By The Mouse. 3/11 Jen's New PTR Pg. 69

I would say Main Street Bakery. It makes me so sad that it is smell-o-vision or whatever it is called and not the actual smell of the baked goods but it gets me every time!

My sentiments exactly. The real thing, Tollhouse Cookies, baking is such a sweet smell, so I'd go with that without the 'enhancement'.

Although Soarin' is my favorite ride, and I do like the orange smell, I don't think it is my favorite Disney smell. I like the smell of turkey legs. I know many despise those things, but I am a fan. ::yes::

Also, not officially Disney, but Basin. Oh, I do love the smell of cleanliness and freshness as I approcah the door of that place. :)

Oh boy, Disney smells.... e gads. Let me think about this one. Okay, I am very fond of the Soarin' Orange trees, I agree, and I also love all the bakery smells, oh boy. And the popcorn. AND... :) oh the list goes on! But here are two that are rather random... ONE, the smell of the freshly made waffle cones at the ice cream shoppe on mainstreet. And TWO, really out there I know, is when you are riding POTC and Splash Mountain. Because of the water and what they use to treat it I guess? It has a familiar scent, I just associate it with the ride! OKAY weird I know -- anyone else know what I am talking about??!!

It's funny you should mention Disney smells! DH and I took DS8 to NYC yesterday for a little birthday celebration! We went into a building and DS said "I smell Disney water!" :lmao: There was a really cool water wall and it did indeed smell like Disney water!!!

My favorite Disney smell is the whole smell experience on Main Street! The popcorn, the Bakery, everything! It smells like coming home again!

Did you know that The Parent Trap is an adaptation of a German childrens' book classic (and actually one of my favourites!). It is by an author called Erich Kästner and it is called "Lottie and Lisa" in English. The German title translates into "The double Lottie" :)

My favourite smell is the one in the AKL lobby. It is kind of a mixture of spices and the smell from the fire place. It is wonderful!! :goodvibes

You sparked another wonderful smell for me! You are so right! The incredible aroma of Boma and Jiko from the AKL lobby, right over by the stairs. Oh, my goodness, it is heavenly!

Oh...can I just say I'm so looking forward to my first experience with this smell! I cannot wait to eat at Jiko's!!! SO LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!!!!

I am terrible at this game! I have so many favorite smells.

First one that comes to mind is the distinctive proliferous bouquet that is the POTC walkthrough and ride.

And you know what? Honestly, I love smell of the confectionary on good ole Main Street USA. Something about the combo of cotton candy and chocolate and junky apples just gets me. :goodvibes

OOOH the bakery does smell so good!!! It should be the real thing I agree!!! However you are right it is a great smell!!!

OOH Basin, I forgot about that one!! What a great store with a great smell!!!! I always stock up on bath bombs when I go in there!!

Disney water seems to be a big hit!! I know exactly what you are talking about though!!! Such a distinct and very Disney smell!!

OOOH ice cream and waffle cones!!! What a great smell!!!

I have to agree Melissa...Main Stree has such a welcoming smell!!! SO awesome and SO tells you that you are in Disney!!

I thought I was the only one with the disney water smell! :rotfl: Right on everyone! :thumbsup2

LOL you crack me up Jess :rotfl2:

I didn't know that!! Thank you for sharing with me!!! I love learning new things all the time!!

AK Lobby so can't wait to smell that for the first time!!!

I was wondering if you were going to choose POTC LOL!!!! It has a very distinct smell!!! SO POTC!!!!

Hmmm the confectionary...my last stop on every trip!! I love the smells in there! So welcoming!!!

How could I not choose Pirates, right? :lmao:

I love to stop there as well, have to use up those last snack credits! :lmao:

I don't think I ever answered the favorite sound question... which would easily be the music entering FW at Epcot!! No doubt about it!! I'm smiling just thinking about it!

And I think I'd have to agree with you that the Soarin' oranges are my favorite Disney smell too! I enjoy the pine smell, but nothing beats the oranges! :thumbsup2

WOOT another Orange smell lover!!! We should create our own special group!! There is just something about that smell that makes me all happy inside!!

Love the Parent Trap! Actually, I love all of the Haley Mills movies!

Favorite smell? Oh, it would have to be the oranges on Soarin'! Followed closely by the lobby of Animal Kingdom Lodge.

WOOT WOOT another one for the oranges!!!!!!

Don't you just love Haley Mills! I think she is fantastic!! I just adore the Parent Trap!!!!

Hmmm, favorite smell...that's a tough one. I do have to agree with the oranges AND pine trees from Soarin (funny how both my favorite sound and smell come from that ride!).

This is going to sound really weird but my Vera Bradley hipster has some sort of Disney smell still. I swear, I'm not even kidding. It must be our room or something.:rotfl::rolleyes1

I totally don't think that's weird at all!!!! More Vera's should smell like Disney LOL!! I so love Vera's...and speaking of which I might have caved and bought something starting with a V ...recently :rolleyes1

Oh....Fudge...can we share some right now LOL!! My fudge I make at Christmas never tastes like Disney fudge LOL!!!!!!

These will be the fastest 74 days (well until the last 4 or so!)
I also love the Parent Trap. I've seen the newer one about 50 times, so that's the one that I think of first.

Favorite smell? Hmm,while I Love the oranges on Soarin', I also love the smell inside the Main Street Confectionary, or the Bakery. Any sweets, I'm not fussy!
I think POTC has a very distinct smell that always shouts "You're at WDW and going to ride POTC". I like that smell too.

I have seen the new Parent Trap many times and I own that version too....so cute!!!!

POTC does have a distinct smell!!! VERY DISNEY!!!!!!

Woot for 74 days! I agree, the oranges on Soarin' are classic Disney. I must also say, I love the smell of the Beach Club lobby. Just smells clean and classic. Oh, while I'm thinking about it, I love the perfume in Norway so that is another scent that instantly transports me. As does the smell of fresh popped popcorn on Main Street. Hmmm... what else. I'm so enjoying your updates and questions!! :)

I figured one of your favorite smells would be associated with your favorite resort!!!!!!! I like the smell at the Poly!!!!

OOOH Main Street is a great smell LOL!!!

I'm still not convinced that there are orange and pine smells on Soarin'. I've never smelled them because every time I'm there I get a sinus infection and can smell almost nothing on my Epcot days! :sad2:

I think I have to agree with Jackie and say that my favorite Disney smell is the lobby of Animal Kingdom Lodge. :cloud9:

LOL!! You've never smelled the orange or pines on Soarin....oh no you must remedy that!!!!!!

I have never smelled the AK lodge I hope to fix that this trip!

update update yay!!

Let's see....favorite sound would be music from Spaceship earth, the part where you're going around and see the earth in the middle of the room, always loved that

Favorite smell..I wouldn't say "favorite" but the water has a distinctive smell to it. Blake and I always refer to it as the florida water smell and it always hits us as soon as we get off the airplane in MCO, and especially when we're standing by the big giant dancing fountain in Epcot..love it!:thumbsup2

Spaceship Earth...such a great ride!!!!! Love that scene!!!!

Yup another water winner! You are right Disney water has a very special smell LOL!

Just because I'm too lazy to go back and read - I was wondering are you staying in a studio or 1 BR?? Now that we own DVC, I'm curious to find out more about all the properties. I'll be anxious to hear your report on the room!
