We just booked the Doubloon sail off St Thomas through Disney. Has anyone ever done this?
Can anyone answer a few questions?
We have an older gentleman that will not be snorkeling. Is there a sort of shaded area that he would be able to sit and watch his grandkids snorkel? He is a very active, capable guy, we just wanted him to have a comfy spot to hang out and have a drink or two.
Are alcoholic beverages included or do you buy them? What exactly is included?
Is there a nice ladder for US to get off the boat to snorkel?
Thanks in advance for any info!!:D

I can't answer your question tink since we are going on that tour on our cruise in 35 days (but who's counting?) but I will be happy to answer when we get back if that would help at all...it might be too late but I would be happy to let you know how it went when we get home. We are due back in our house on May 8th....if that would help or if you dont get an answer just let me know..I'll keep an eye out for you!

Tink, I just reponded to one of your later posts, but didn't see your question regarding a shady spot to sit on the boat for the non-snorkling person in your party.

As far as I know, there really isn't a shady spot (its kind of open bench seating around the perimeter of the boat, but there might be a spot of shade if the sail is up and the sun is right. But I think the excursions go around around noon, so the sun might be high in the sky.

So he might want to make sure to bring a hat, and of course, sunscreen. And maybe bring along a little bottle of water in case the crew gets busy (handing out snorkling gear, helping people out of the boat, etc) and he wants to keep hydrated.

I think a lot of people go along on the excursion and don't snorkle, and some people on our excursion got into and then right out of the water, so the crew is used to having people stay on the boat.

Remember to bring along a waterproof camera! The crew does sell them, but you can pick one up cheaper at home, and the person staying on the boat can hand it down to you or you can give it back to them if you don't want it in the water all the time. Then they can take pictures of you in the water.

Tink5697, we will be on the same cruise as you are and we have booked the Doubloon. We are two families and have girls ages 11, 9, 7, and 6. I think (but I'm not sure) that I read somewhere that there is a covered area...seems it would be crazy not to have it!! Try visiting their website. They have a lot of pictures.
