Can anyone help us choose between these two excursions? I have heard Trunk Bay is not to be missed but I hear the same about the Doubloon Sail. I have two DS (9 & 12). We will be sailing in November.

Thanks for your help -- yet again:wave2:

I can definitely state that Trunk Bay is one of the most amazingly beautiful beaches - an unspoiled, natural Caribbean paradise! We went to Trunk Bay on our own last December and it was a highlight of our cruise. (Can't help on the Doubloon Sail.)

If you do decide to go to Trunk Bay, don't feel limited to the offered excursions. It is easy to get to on your own and you can set your own schedule.

Going on the Doubloon in a few weeks. Our kids are 5 and 15, while Trunk Bay is supposed to be truly beautiful, I'm sure they would find it boring and I suspect the 5yo could potentially make all of us miserable! I'll let you know how the doubloon goes ....

We have 3 kids and we did the Doubloon and I would recommend it in a heartbeat! The guys that work that excursion are SO awesome with the kids! I have a 9 yr old boy and 5 yr old boy and 10 yr old girl and they were so much fun with the kids! They tried to pick a water fight with a sailboat next to us while on the way back to the dock and they got the kids involved. Tatoo's of the skull and crossbone for everyone (temp of course) free soda, water and "rum drinks" for the adults, chips and salsa! One hour on the way out, 1 hour in the water where one of the tour operator swims with you and tells you about different fish around there and then 1 hour back. They took our pictures and have them posted on the website and they were all in all amazing with the kids! The kids LOVED the pirate ship! Their favorite part was standing on the sides getting splashed by the big waves holding onto the ropes! They were amazing and it was something added to just snorkeling!

and feel free to pm me if you want more information. There are a few pictures on my webshots if you go to

I've done both and ..... Trunk Bay is a not to missed experience but if you have kids who need alittle excitement consider Doubloon trip. Both are good, but TB is a very special beach!
