Currently have HoJo 2Q premium room booked for our trip in June, but considering switching to Doubletree since Hilton Rewards member.

Pros I see for Doubletree:
1. we can use points we have toward reservation, plus earn points on nights we will pay on, so Doubletree would be a little cheaper
2. looks nicer and would have more space. The difference in pool areas is not a concern

Con: 1. no shuttle service and not walking distance with DS5 and DS7. We don't plan on having a car. Do you use ART or can you use the parking lot tram from the Toy Story Lot (even if we're not parking there)?? Would getting there be more trouble than just walking from HoJo

....or should we just stick with the HoJo??

Being within walking distance is worth a lot to me. Unless there was something like a $300+ difference in price I wouldn't even consider staying at a hotel that wasn't within walking distance.

The last time we stayed at a non walking distance hotel was at the Hyatt and the shuttle experience was very frustrating. People cut in line and the busses would fill up so you had to wait 30 minutes for the next one. We ended up driving the last couple days we were there, but parking is expensive and then you still have to take a tram from the parking lot.

If the Toy Story lot is within walking distance, you can use it. It's usually not as crowded and the lines move quickly. The only downside is if you stay at the parks till closing, the lines to get on the buses are long.
