Doubletree Suites

Our school secretary is booked into Doubletree Suites in March. This is a family trip with her 2 grown sons, 1 daughter-in-law and 2 granddaughters. She is surprising them at Christmas, and it is something for her to look forward to, after the death of her husband this past spring. (Where better than at my "laughin' place"? )

The search is not working. Can someone please tell me everything they know about Doubletree? Rooms? Pools? Shuttles?

Also, what is recommended as far as transport from airport to the hotel. (the limo service that I used in 2000 is no longer).

Limo service is always preferable in my book, particularly one that does a thirty minute grocery stop like Tiffany Towncars, Happy Limo or one of the others.

Double Tree is a serviceable place to stay. It is clean and the staff are very friendly. I didn't pay attention to the shuttle. They have them, but I don't know if they cost anything.

The rooms are a little shabby and worn, so don't expect the very best in decor.

It's easy walking distance to DTD from the Doubletree Suites (about 15 minutes each way). I agree that the rooms are a bit worn and don't have the Disney magic. But the staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet was pretty good. We didn't use the bus to the parks, but it left a few times a day. I don't think there was an extra cost.

The pool was nothing special (theming and such), but my husband and son thought it was okay.

We had two double beds and one double sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa was not the best. We had a view of I-4.
