Doubletree or Best Western Park Place?

We had booked a reservation at the Doubletree suites for July 6-12. I figured we could walk across to the parking lot and take the tram or take the ART. Recently, we found a rate though Costco for the BWPPI that was just as cheap as the Doubletree. :scratchin The BW is closer but the Double tree is a nicer/higher star level. Opinions on which would be better. We do take afternoon breaks so we can last later at night with our early mornings. So closer sounds better but if the room/beds are uncomfortable or noisy that wouldn't help.:confused3

I'm always going to come down on the side of location. I just can't imagine taking the ART to and from a hotel in the middle of a day for a break when I could take a 5-minute walk and be back in my room.

The Doubletree is probably nicer than the BWPPI, but I haven't stayed there, so I don't know for sure. I have stayed at the BWPPI and it's a clean, comfortable motel. Had no issues with noise or bed comfort. We stayed in a minisuite and loved the bit of extra room, and the fridge and microwave. Made afternoon breaks more relaxing and enjoyable. We also made good use of the free breakfast, which was good (and has more options now).

Doubletree. I am not a huge fan of BW's in general. I find them cramped with low ceilings.

For us location trumps all. We have stayed at BWPPI our last three visits and are staying there again this summer. It is a typical Best Western...comfortable, not luxurious. When you want to take a mid day break, you will be happy to be so close! We haven't experienced it being any more noisy than any other hotel.

I'm not willing to sacrifice comfort for being closer to the park. Doubletree is a very nice hotel and the beds are SOOOO nice. Plus, you are a block from the Toy Story parking lot, so its easy to get to the park.

BWPP no contest. Rooms are very nice, great free breakfast and you cannot get closer to the entrance of DLR.

If you take afternoon breaks, you are going to want to be close. And you cannot get any closer than BWPPI.

BWPPI for sure! It is such a close walk and we have never had complaints about the hotel itself. It is not like onsite but it is always nice and clean and the breakfast is great.
